Haven't a clue what Phil Driver's doing nowadays, but...we signed him from Wimbledon for £20,000 in 1980, then let him go back there on a free transfer three years later (some things never change). He signed for St.Albans in 1985, but after that I've no idea.

I saw him play for both Wimbledon and Chelsea - he was a speedy winger and was an excellent crosser of a ball, but he seemed to be constantly injured. Shame really, I thought he was gonna do well but it wasn't to be.

Yeah I remember him. When he first arrived he showed so much promise which he never fullfilled (maybe because of injuries). I remember a home game which we drew 2-2 (fantastic result in those days) and he scored both goals. Can't remember who the opposition was though...

Charlton Athletic at home, 23/9/81 - I must have been at that game, but don't remember a thing about it (I blame the peanuts, couldn't be the lager)

That's the one. It's all coming back now. And a certain Walsh scored their 2 goals in a 2-2 draw as far as I recall.. (Think we must've suffered from the same peanut problem...lol)
