Chelsea vs Man Utd (FA) Mon 18th Feb 19:30 GMT
I too have lost faith in Sarri. He seems to be out of his depth, has no plan B and other teams have worked out how to play against us. His substitutions are predictable, especially his reluctance to give Hudson-Odoi a chance. However, above all I blame Abramovich, as investment in the team has been lacking for several years now. Has he given up on Chelsea? If so then ffs sell up. Zidane has already, allegedly, made demands that he has a big transfer kitty before he would consider taking the job and I suspect any potential manager would be crazy not to do likewise. The board demand top 4 but don’t back the manager. Spend f**k all but expect miracles? No wonder we’re no longer competing with the top 3.

Doubt we’d get the manager we want at this stage of the season

Willian by a distance. He just gets better and better! He hates Tottenham, he hates Tottenham......

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
Great post Barak. I agree with you that he is arguably Chelsea's best ever player. I also worry about how we'll ever manage to replace him. Even if we eventually find a CB who comes close to JT in terms of ability, I think it's impossible to find a replacement for the player who is just as importantly the heart and soul of our club. An outstanding organiser, leader and inspiration to the younger players. Please God he can keep going at this level for another 2-3 years...

Exactly how sh*t were we?
Yes of course there were, but we were more easily pleased in those days. I remember in the 78/79 season (I think) whilst struggling in the relegation zone, we played fellow strugglers Bolton at home. We were on a terrible losing run at that time so it was no surprise when we went 3 down by half-time. Clive Walker was brought on in the second half and he transformed the game. We went on to win 4-3 and the celebrations were such that you'd think we'd won the league. So yes there were good times, but it's all relative!

Exactly how sh*t were we?
Same here. I became a season ticket holder in 1978 and endured some truly awful times. Rubbish football and small crowds. By the time we started to improve under John Neal I had moved away from London so wasn't able to make every game.

MOTM vs Man Utd (H) (PL)
JT inspirational and led by example yet again, gets my vote. Hazard and Oscar excellent, Zouma reliable as ever, Drogba worked his nuts off yet again and Matic seems to be getting back to his best,

Who is Our Most Irreplaceable Player?
Has to be JT. This is an issue that has been worrying me for a couple of years! Why JT? Not just because he's the best CB in the premiership. Nor because he is the captain and brilliant organiser of the defence. But to me he is the soul of the team who would run through a brick wall for the club and who leads by brilliant example. He's simply irreplaceable.

MOTM vs QPR (A) (PL)
JT for me. Despite the horrendous abuse he had to endure throughout I thought he was outstanding. Cahill and Courtois the only others who came close. I can't believe somebody has voted for Brana. I thought he was dreadful, especially in the first half when so many passes went badly astray.

MOTM vs Stoke (H) (PL)
I went for JT. Faultless as he has been most of this season.

MOTM vs Hull (A) (PL)
JT for me. Brilliant leader once again.

Paul Canoville 'Black and Blue'
I take it you weren't a supporter who attended games back then. Sadly racism was acceptable and the norm in those days. I was at Palace when Cannoville made his debut, coming on as a second half sub. The reception he got from his own fans was truly shameful, but as I said, that's the way it was back then. So you can say that the treatment of Canoville by his own fans was unforgivable etc. But to say that they weren't true Chelsea fans I'm afraid to say is absolute bollocks!

MOTM vs Bin Dippers (H) (LC)
I thought Zouma and Luis played well. The midfield trio of Hazard, Oscar and Willian were all outstanding, especially in the second half. But I give motm to Willian. Worked his arse off and doesn't get the recognition he deserves

Bradford fan in peace
If you can get tickets in the west upper you'll have a great view. Plus half those around you will be be tourists, so won't be able to differentiate between a Yorkshire and cockney accent. Good luck!

Hello from Edinburgh
As far as I can remember, you will be at the back of the MHL. The view may not be brilliant but the atmosphere will be second to none.

MOTM vs Liverpool (A) (PL)
So many good performances, but has to be Kalas for me. Sensational debut in such a big game. Looked as assured as a veteran.

Ramires - anyone else frustrated?
I agree with you (and all the previous comments) about Ramires and that it's time to sell. I am also a big fan of Luiz and would like to see him play in the defensive midfield role on a regular basis. However, I'm not convinced that he too doesn't have a nasty streak!

Terrace Taunts
Few occasions? This was sung several times during EVERY match, along with a Garth Crooks song which I couldn't possibly mention in these pc times!

Fair comment. I used to be a regular, but admittedly have been away for a while.

Have just phoned a couple of Parisian "friends" I made in a bar in Paris last week, just to chant Chelsea a few times. Was wonderful. Smug bar stewards had been so (over)confident!!

I went for Luiz. Was absolutely superb and made up for his performance in 1st leg. Cech was at his best too as he needed to be
