August 12, 200915 yr If that is true, Barca would be fools not to do this deal. Fabregas could inherit the mantle of an aging Xavi, and Barca would be getting a world class player aged just 22. Obviously they dont need him, but he would help keep them on top for years to come. I dont see it happening myself, but it would certainly kill many a Madridista who hope to sign him in a few years time. Considering how much of Barca's teams are promoted from the academy, they can afford to make the odd big splash every few years, such as this.
