Irish team Cork City football club were today wound up after being in business since 1984

Migh interest ye to know Bobby Tambling was their first ever manager.

Very sad news, it's never good to see a team disappear (unless it's Liverpool of course).

I never realised they were such a new club. I could have sworn I'd seen their name back in the 60's, or maybe I'm thinking of Cork Hibs?

They have been about in a number of versions since the 1920's Bluebeard,were very successful in the recent past.Tambling was appointed boss in 1984 but he only lasted 13 matches.

great my mates son was over at cork city around 2 years ago if that on football trials. Wont go into details fans treated him like sh.te for non footballing reasons fantastic news

And its such a big footballing city ,but there a f***ing horrible bunch of b***ards down there .
