2010/2011 Champions League Qualifiers

Here in Norn Iron Champions Linfield had a very worthy 0-0 draw at home with the mighty Rosenberg, probably get hit for 5 in the 2nd leg.

I´m keeping one eye on Levadia vs Debrecen tie as Estonian side haven´t reached the group stages yet and here´s hoping that with a little bit of luck and some great displays will get them there.

So was that a Chelsea, Rangers, Linfield trifecta, a la 2005?

Yes. Another team to look out for in the qualifiers is Hapoel Tel Aviv. They have already won their second qualifying tie, and have a decent tie in the next qualifying round. Also with the way that the qualifying format is at the moment their is a strong chance that they could reach the group stage, and could face Chelsea if they get there.

I watched a bit of the Levadia game last week. They played well and only conceded a last minute goal to Debrecen. Whoever gets through that tie will play Basel I think in the next round.

A battling performance last nite from Linfield messed up my prediction of a 5 goal hammering,Rosenberg could manage only 2,ah well they will just have to try again next year.
