Does anyone else have an issue with the way Chelsea put tickets on sale? maybe its my own fault for not being a season ticket holder but last year in particular i got real bugged about it. I attended every FA cup game last season apart from the third round due to holidays, i went to every game with the missus and sometimes my mates little lad, yet when it came to the final i was to low down the pecking order to get any tickets! it doesnt help that the FA give a massive percentage to sponsors and other coperates that aren't even fussed about what there watching! it makes me even more angry when people buy tickets just to sell for three or four times more than they paid. I know some clubs do a structure where they sell tickets for semi's/ finals depending on the amount of other "stubs" you have from previous rounds...

Is your problem with the way that the club put tickets on sale as in your title or with the FA Cup Final only?

It sounds from your message that you managed to get tickets for every cup match you wanted apart from the final - so the system in general seems to work for you.

Problem for the final is that the club are allocated 20k-25k seats (don't remember the exact number) and there are more Chelsea season ticket holders than that so not all season ticket holders get a ticket either. This is an issue with Wembley and the FA who have so many corporate and freebie seats - although I'm sure a few Chelsea "supporters" sell their tickets for profit I doubt there are that many (though for the cost of a season ticket is always a teeny bit tempting!). Be thankful you're not a supporter of a club with even more season ticket holders - Man Utd season ticket holders are in constant ballots to get tickets!

I guess (??) you feel a better system would be to give priority to any fan to has been to all cup games rather than just loyalty points - I think the benefit of loyalty points is that it fits all competitions and scenarios - I know some season ticket holders who don't go to every cup game because they have paid a fortune for their ticket already and don't want to shell out again to see a lower division club on a midweek. Swings and roundabouts I guess!

Am sure the system isn't perfect but so long as the website doesn't get overloaded it seems to work okay!
