Alright guys, just wondering who here has been to St. Andrews before and whether you would recommend getting off the train at New Street and walking the half hour? Or is it better to go to Moor Street and change onto the train to Bordesley and then get off there?

Thanks a lot for any help.

You can get to Bordesley (still a 10 minute walk) from Moor Street or Snow Hill, Moor Street is closest to New Street (almost opposite), but both are only a few minutes walk from each other. Might be an idea to check with National Rail Enquiries (08457484950) as it looks as if the trains stop running to Bordesley about 14:40 from both stations until around 17:30.

Also if you turn left out of the main entrance of New Street (where taxis are) you can catch a 97 or 97A bus straight to the ground.

I would recommend drinking in Broad Street, which is a couple of minutes from New Street station before moving on.
