Interesting to see a little booklet in todays Daily Mirror about the forthcoming season. Within the booklet was a section for the Mirror journalists to list their predictions for the top four at the end of the season. There were 10 journalists and their predictions came out as follows:

All 10 predict that Man Utd will win the league - that's quite unusual in itself because normally at least one would opt for another team.

Citeh were predicted by 6 to be runners-up whilst the other 4 predict a 3rd place finish.

Chelsea were predicted by 3 to be runners up, 6 to be third and not ranked in the top 4 by one (I'll get to that imbecile in a minute)

Liverpool were predicted to be 4th by 7, not ranked by two and - wait for it - 2nd by the same imbecile who predicts we'll finish outside the top 4

Arsenal rather devastatingly for them only feature in two of the journalists top 4, both of them predicting 4th

Coup de gras goes to the imbecile again who predicts Everton will finish 4th.

The imbecile votes 1- Man Utd (safeish bet), 2 Liverpool, 3- Citeh, 4 - Everton - stand up and take a bow Mike Walters!!

Wow. Who the f**k is this Mike Walters twat? I mean, it's a bit much to think that neither us or Arsenal could finish outside the top 4 (although it could happen and if that's what he honestly thinks will happen then fair play). But to think that given the two spare slots in the top 4 that Tottenham aren't going to be one of them and that the 6th and 7th placed teams from last season are going to leapfrog everybody after a summer where neither of them have improved? f**king idiot.

You're right. Martin Lipton is more clown than villain, or at worst, a pantomime villain..
