hard to keep up, but AVB very definitely in charge and everything up for grabs - so far;

last seasons regulars now squad players (florent, kalou, JOM, lamps, Drogs)

the system changed, more fluid and progressive, faster but less strong defencively

ramires key player (hope it lasts), jose reborn

alex nowhere near his best (not sure whats happened there?)

the old guard less influence - so it seems

more energy in the team

who is 1st pick nowadays - only Petr, JT, Ramires, mata & torres

what next - well valencia will e good test - can't wait to see who he picks

It is quite clear he is calling the shots and I like that.

He is picking the team on merit, not on reputation, unlike the previous manager.

The signs are very encouraging for me. We have renewed desire and we are creating chances.

When you look at our players, they are progressing rather than regressing, and that's the sign of a good manager, it shows he is handling them correctly, Torres being a case in point, he dropped him, he publicly admonished him, he got him scoring again, now he just has to calm him down a bit. I dare say his handling of Lamps will have the desired effect, as it seems to be doing with Mikel, judging by yesterday, etc etc.

Still could do with some width mind ..

Quick assessment?

Ball movement and general play getting better every week. Hiccup under the intense pressure of Old Trafford, but that's to be expected this early in the process.

Still need at least one more player, a midfielder.

And the defense is a problem that needs to be solved.
