I tried to buy a ticket online but soon realised that they didn't accept debit cards, I'm studying in Manchester but from Ireland and so this is the first home game I planned to go to, can anyone tell me how to get a ticket when I get there as I had bought a coach ticket before I even tried to buy a match ticket online, where is the ticket box office in stamford bridge and will there be any decent tickets left? (p.s. I will be at the stadium at around 10am on saturday morning)

it now looks like i wont get to the game as I checked the website again and it said you can't pay with cash at the box office and gave the list of cards (the same as paying online) and therefore my debit card won't be accepted. i didn't know it was going to be that hard to buy a football ticket.

That's appalling! So if you don;t possess a credit card you can't get a ticket? Bad luck, Curtis! Why don;t you go down anyway since you have the coach ticket and watch the game in a local pub. Somenone on here will tell you the best Chelsea pubs to go to.

I always use my debit card to purchase tickets. As long as it's Visa or Mastercard it should work.

that's strange, mine is visa aswel, I have tried with 2 debit cards, could you link me the area where you buy them? I tried again a few minutes ago and still no joy, it says in red text at the end that it cant complete the process or something along those lines.

Double and triple check that you haven't missed a tiny bit of the card information out. It usually only shows up with a warning written in red if you've missed something. (I've done it myself before  )

Here's the purchasing page http://purchase.tick.../TicketPurchase I expect that's what your linking through anyway.

EDIT: Sorry that link won't work as it has timed out, that is actually another reason as to why your transaction might not be going through.

I think I figured it out, it says under terms and conditions that you have to enter the postcode exactly as it is in your card statement, i live in university accommodation and so my postcode is different, the only thing i can think of is waiting until thursday or friday to buy as they can't post them out and they have to be collected at the ticket office I think, will that make a difference or will they still require the postcode? If I still can't buy online do you think the ticket office will have tickets on saturday morning?

Yes,collecting the ticket on the day would be your best bet. I doubt it would matter about the postcode, if it's still required you could put the postcode from back home as it's not as if the ticket would be sent there anyway. I'd be guessing as too whether any tickets would be available on the morning. The tickets aren't exactly selling that quickly at the moment so I'd expect plenty to be available. If any are, the club are sure to announce details by Thursday or Friday as to when they go off sale.

I think the best thing you can do is give the box office a ring in the morning and attempt to buy a ticket, tell them you'd prefer to collect it, they may well tell you that that's the only option now anyway with the game so close.

If you don't know the number it's: 0871 984 1905.
