Chelsea Vs WBA (PL) SUN 11/12 2016 KO 12:00 GMT
I think it is disgraceful that McClean gets booed by some fans, it is the case with many clubs though I never heard any when they played Liverpool. Could you imagine the fuss the media would kick up if an English sportsman was treated like that in an Irish sports league. The poppy thing is a non issue too, Englishmen living in Ireland don't wear easter lillies.

18 years ago today...Zola did this
To be fair I think when people make jokes about Chelsea having no history I think they are referring to pre 1996 or so as it was still a big club well known around europe in 1998. I recall seeing a cup winners cup game on tv in 1998 aged 6, Man United were the only soccer club I had heard about at that age.

The John Terry Appreciation Thread
I find it cringy fans protesting over a millionaire sportsman being offered a contract, he has won everything there is to win, I suppose you could describe it as a "first world problem"

Chelsea end long standing partnership with adidas
The Adidas kits were good for the first few seasons but they ended up looking the same due to always having to use the 3 stripes on sleeves, I would have loved to see an adidas home shirt with yellow stripes.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
what will the Glasgow Rangers contingent think of another Roman Catholic in the hot seat? maybe the flag of Vatican City should be hung from the Shed End

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
I am sure you never sang anti UVF songs due to your one sided view of the troubles.

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
From my past experience of living in Manchester it tended to be the asian/african communities who supported clubs like arsenal and Chelsea, the white people were either a red or blue based on who their parents supported. Man united have alot of fans from towns like Rochdale, Oldham and Stockport too but maybe these people also support their hometown club

Our New Stadium
Stamford Bridge doesn't look as good since they removed the advertising boards from the stands in 2008, I probably am the only one who noticed, there is a lack of colour now. Plus the big club crest should have been replaced on the east stand after 2005, the one above the tunnel.

How will you feel if Leicester lift the title at the Bridge?
Wolfsburg won the womens champions league at Stamford bridge in 2013, it I a good stadium to watch a team lift a trophy as you are very close to the pitch. Huddersfield town, Aston Villa and Tottenham also won the FA cup at Stamford bridge

England - Should we change the national anthem?
The problem is that England don't really have a distinctive culture like Scotland and Wales do, Northern Ireland don't either as their fans culture is based upon their loyalty to England, though the ex captain Aaron Hughes said that the anthem should be changed for them. It is an odd set up as most of their fans are from a small area, they do not gain support from the west of Lough Neagh.

Everton v Chelsea FA Cup
I never knew Martin Keowns parents were Irish, no wonder he kept calling Coleman a top Irishman

Chelsea vs West Brom (PL) 13/01/16 KO: 19:45 BST
I am surprised the West Brom fans didn't boo McClean, only anti Irish Catholic when it suits them, though he irritates me more than them as he is happy to represent a club who treated him so badly, if I was James I would move to the US league or somewhere, have some self respect.

Chelsea v Fiorentina
Should a Scotsman like yourself not support Glasgow Celtic as they best represent Scotlands true Celtic heritage? If I was a Scot i would be supporting the Celts.

Chelsea fans racially abuse a man on the Paris Metro
It is funny how James McClean gets abused by the whole of the British isles (apart from n.ireland catholics and Scot nationalists) yet this Ulster protestant racist isn't mentioned, somehow we Roman Catholics are viewed as the bigoted extremists.
