Tea Bar Boy
http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... cides+deal PSV Eindhoven have wrapped up the loan capture of Alcides from Chelsea. The Premiership champions own the Brazilian defender, but he has been out on loan at Portuguese side Benfica for the past 18 months. He worked under now PSV boss Ronald Koeman at Benfica and after slipping down the pecking order in the current campaign, has jumped at the chance to link up with the Dutch tactician once again. Alcides successfully negotiated his way through a medical this week and is looking to get his career back on track in Eindhoven. "I am very happy to be here," Alcides told PSV's website. "It's a very attractive club and good step in my career." Great move for him really pleased. Who the bloody hell is he ?? Did anyone else know we owned a young brazilian defender ??? BLUENUT
G Johnson Mancienne J Smith Brazilian Center half at PSV - can't remeber his name but he's there to get a work permit. also...Isn't there a few on loan in Belgium? Remember they are supposed to be our 'feeder club' from reports a few years ago. Kezman + Robben both came this way, and didn't we sign Belarouz from them this year? We have strong links with this club.
Tea Bar Boy
Brazilian Center half at PSV - can't remeber his name but he's there to get a work permit. Alex Think Loz said we did not want him anymore as I thought he would be the obvious choice to cover on loan for a few months ?
Sofa Manager
Alcides is originally a central defender, who's a former U21 (or other) brazil player. Tall and slim, he's also very fast, and was often used as a right back for Benfica, especially last season when they were managed by Koeman. (Think Rio Ferdinand for lack of a better PHYSICALL comparation) This season he was seldom used. I think he's got quite some potential, but can't see him play for Chelsea, EXCEPT in this disgraceful injury crisis, because he's still a bit unexperienced/raw. Better then me, Koeman describes him: "Alcides is one of the fastest defenders I have ever encountered. He will strengthen our defensive options. He may also provide cover in the event Alex leaves at the end of the current campaign. Alcides is a versatile player. He is a central defender with exceptional aerial ability and good positional sense. I am quite content with our defensive performances, but when opportunity knocks, you should listen." As for Alex, the other center back, he's a tad diferent. Tall but also strong and slow.
