Starts exactly a year from now .

 

Anyone going ? I've decided myself i'm going to go with an Australian friend of mine, I've managed to blag a sparky job here in australia in the mines, so they pay silly money, Going to work my arse off for a year and have a hell of a good time next year !

 

It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity whatever your age, let alone being 23 !

 

I'm not to optimistic about England chances i must say, but as usual there will always be that little bit of hope

 

Two things i'm worried about is the crime, similar to the world cup in south africa as well. I don't plan on splashing the cash infront of people or wearing any smart clothes while i'm there but there isn't much you can do i guess apart from be wary. The other problem is finding an affordable hotel, the place will be absolutely packed with tourists, so the hostels and hotels will be jampacked. Has the potential to be one of the great world cups, will certainly be a fantastic holiday and well worth the money if people can afford it. Lets just hope the football matches !

Tommy, I will not be going due to finances (only finishing University next year). I will plan to make Russia, providing we can get visas.

My Dad lives 3 months a year in Brazil for work and he said the internal connection between cities will be a real nightmare. South Africa had so much fear surrounding it though, and it turned out to be a fantastic World Cup off the pitch. I think it's going to be a great tournament and the race for the trophy is pretty open in my opinion.
