can't say that its been that long for me !! the seasons under carlo were great, the football fantastic and if only for collapses in the middle of the season, still dumbfounding we should have had two titles under him. The feeling under RDM was great as well to have a genuine legend leading the club and playing good football. Sadly it wasn't to be Make no mistake, having Rafa last year and getting Jose back has made things that much more sweeter !

Have to say i have always supported fernando. purely because he wears the chelsea blue and every little glimpse of class he showed in the past was enough to keep me believing. there was a period last year when i thought he was all over however. but the last 6 months he has been getting better and better and if he carries on like the performance against tottenham and man city then quite simply that is fernando torres at his best. He has to keep this up through out the entire season however. Good luck to man. what a difference it makes to the chelsea team having a forward on form, its been a while !

so his had 6 months of regular football in 3 seasons here. Im just saying give him a whole season. Im basing this on his last few months i feel he has really improved his game and isn't just going into games and being absolutely invisible. 22 goals in all competitions was a good return and he just looks that bit sharper than i've seen in his time here.

has anyone else not been impressed with his all round play in the last two months of last season and the start of this season ? I think he just looks sharp and working hard, and put a few away. Needs to stop being rotated and be given the starting slot and a regular basis. it is sad. Sometimes however we don't always know the full story. He may have been in a rush, in a genuinely bad mood etc... These people are Human afterall, i'm sure there are many stories of him being very affectionate towards chelsea fans and he is a definate supporter of ours. Often when people talk about the great nights of european football they tend to think back to the past purely because of the nostalgia however i am certain that this was the greatest defensive effort in european history, nevermind the fact that it wasn't even with a proper defensive unit !

i see this as an important game. A good performance here against the Team currently considered the best in europe haven overtaken barcelona will go a long way to showing people that we are well and truly back as a force to be reckoned with. By that i mean being able to go toe to toe with the very top teams. Not go on the defensive, but out pass and out maneuver top teams like we did when we were at our best. We have the players and the talent but now with jose back and the like of hazard and oscar having their second years here, i must say i expect improvement and i would like to see us have a go at bayern and really showcase just how good we can be. The potential is there, its time to really start showing it against the best of the best.
