Just a thought that popped in my head recently. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the club once went a fair few years without paying a single penny for a player. I've got the years 74 (David Hay) to around about 78 (McKenzie, did we pay to get Ossie back?). Anyone know anymore?

no I think you are right,,, im fairly sure ossie came back on a free...the only player who came in that time and I maybe a few months out was petre borota... nearly all the others such as tommy Langley Kenny swain..mickey fillery came through the youth system.......now theres a thought.....
