All things England ,Wembley,Home/away games job lot

Featured Replies

I have never watched England at Wembley ,but when cfc were in div two and i a was tagging along with the

chelsea lot that used to drink in the Adelaide pub ( Wayne ) pre match i was soon going to England away games with them.

1st game was poland away   in poznan 1-1 World cup qualifying and there was at least 25 + chelsea in West Berlin or Berlin the two nights

before the game if my memeory serves me correct .I allways found the drink the day/ night before any England away games far better than the match day drink .

got a few funny moments of tales iam happy to throw out if this thread has legs ,which basically are baised around cfc fans on England trips.

Since there was no club/ country issue back then chelsea allways seemed to have far more lads on England trips than any other

club since cfc never played in European competition . From what i noticed it was chelsea lads well up the tree that was calling all the shots

back then within all the other England ranks of lads .

Rule number one ‘ never be seen drinking in a Irish pub ‘ no surrender ,fcuk the pope and the ira was very very big on the England scene back then, unlike today where you will see todays England fans heading into whatever Irish pubs .That reminds me did i mention ‘ would you like a chicken supper Bobby Sands ‘ was another one ,whats Even more funny was that i was brought up in a catholic School taught by nuns in part

and went against some members of my family as in uncles and aunts as i woke up and smelt the coffee on that front .

back to poland v England in poznan ,we had all been on the lash in Berlin and was due out of Berlin on 1st train to poznan early next morning .

we did not have a hotel and there was no end of us all with those red/ blue head bags paying to Get into a porn picture house which also meant

we had to take 3 bottles of drink into the flicks with us as part of the enterance terms.

we all ser our sens down in one corner and i could not neck any of my 3 carlsbers due to all the used up tissue paper that littered

the place  that had not been cleaned up for yonks ( iam not drawing any pictures )

recall getting on the train and it took some hours before getting off at poznan mid day ish .

we came out of the train station to the taxis where we was jumping into taxis AS you do mob handed ,then this huge mob

of poles came out of nowhere knocking the fcuk out of some of us .

we all got to hotel poznan checked in dropoed our head bags off and into hotel bar ,some with fat lips and some not with fat lips ,

but the funny thing was that just about everyone  seem to recall that when this polish mob broke its cover there was a monster of a local

deeming a old cfc blue shirt leading the way .
