Posted January 27, 20214 yr Hi everybody, I'm an old git, 59, and jumped on the glory bandwagon in 1970 when we won the FA cup. Needless to say the following years up until 2004 weren't that glorious, barring a few bright spots along the way. I have to admit, those days were never boring and we never knew what was going to happen next. Favourite players include Ray Wilkins, David Speedie, Pat Nevin, Gianfranco Zola, Gianluca Vialli, Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard. Best time has to be 2012 Champions League. Worst time probably 1988 v Middlesbrough, relegation and the Battle Of The Bridge. I spent most my time between the Benches and the Shed, occasionally venturing into the posh seats in the East stand. I was a regular in the late 70's, 80's,90's and early 2000's, then life sort of got in the way and I could only watch from afar. These days I live in Dorset, and never get the chance to go to matches any more. The club has changed hugely in my time, and I have to admit that looking back, even without all the cups and titles, I do miss the old Chelsea and the characters we used to have at the club and in the stands, but probably that's just me being a grumpy old sod. Anyway, onwards and upwards. As I write this Tuchel is our new manager and I wish him all the best, hopefully he can be successful and we can celebrate a bit more.
