And he's started this season incredibly poorly, he's living off his name more than any player on the planet right now he's generally been poor since his injury. There's nothing wrong with having a 31 year old centre back, a bit of experience is good at the back but I think there's a huge difference between having a key defender who has performed well for years turn 31 and bringing in a 31 year old that hasn't played in the league before and doesn't have any experience at the highest level or in winning trophies. Hopefully we see Koulibalies quality and aren't getting him in Van Dijks current stage having seen his best years behind him at another club.

VVD last season was better than Militao and at City he'd be behind only Laporte.
