abramovich Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 LINK Shaun Wright-Phillips has paid tribute to the Chelsea 'family' after their FA Cup success and insists he never wants to leave Stamford Bridge. Wright-Phillips was earmarked for an early exit after a largely disappointing season but his form improved as it went on. It culminated in an fine performance in the final and Wright-Phillips said: "While I was not playing so much, I was learning and I came in when the gaffer needed me. "Due to him and the players around me, I have managed to step up to the play. "The lads gave me confidence in training. It's a massive family here and a family I never want to leave." Meanwhile England left-back Wayne Bridge, who started the season as understudy to Ashley Cole at club and international level, says the FA Cup success proved he was right to stay at Chelsea. Bridge was selected ahead of the unfit Cole and produced a solid performance to underline his good form in the final weeks of the season. Bridge declared: "The club, everyone in it, the atmosphere, I just love it. "I was at Southampton and I loved that and I love it here. I hoped I'd play this many games and I have so I am happy. If I had played less, I wouldn't have been."
