Reserve game: Robben/Alex/Sidwell/Glen Johnson/Pizarro play

TRAINING GROUND TRIUMPH

While the players on international duty remain absent, there is still plenty of work to be done on the training ground, and it was down to the remaining players to take part in a friendly game with Hampton & Richmond at Cobham today.

Featuring a team comprising a mixture of youth, reserve and first team players, we eventually ran out 7-0 winners over a Hampton & Richmond side managed by former West Ham winger Alan Devonshire.

Young winger Scott Sinclair was the pick of the bunch, finding the back of the net four times, with additional goals coming from captain Arjen Robben, who continues his rehabilitation, Glen Johnson and Phil Younghusband.

The Chelsea side, also featuring the likes of Alex, Steve Sidwell and Claudio Pizarro, was managed by Brendan Rodgers, whose Reserve team begin their competitive season next Wednesday against Portsmouth at Havant & Waterlooville's Westleigh Park ground.

I don't think Jose would have decided who gets the armband, but lets hope he does feel like he's valued, stays and has a cracker of a season with us icon_wink.gif not bones cracking though... hopefully they'll stay healed!
