As our spending seemed to be limited this summer, do you think a new coach, who Abramovich will install himself (be it Grant or someone else), will be backed financially in the way Ranieri was initially and then Jose when he started? (i.e. was Roman keeping the wallet a little more closed because it was Jose or is he keeping it more closed full stop)

I beleive the wallet will open again for the new manager.

It has to be if you expect the new manager to build a top team in their image.

I think it will be wide open for the new man. Especially if it is Grant whose appointment I'm afraid would mean quite a few players leaving us in January.
