Posted October 1, 200717 yr I used to think it was bad that big clubs were being bought by rich men who knew "nothing" about football. I have now turned around 100%. I think the best owners are the ones who know little about football and just occupy themselves with the money business, leaving the football to those who know. Man Utd, and Fulham, come to mind as clubs where the owners take care of business and let the manager and football staff take care of the team. Mez
October 1, 200717 yr He bought a club for 50p and sold it for over ?18m profit. Good business acumen if you ask me! Is doing well at Leeds aswell, Bates is more of a debt mamanger than a tycoon, but he knows how to run a football club!
