If anyone remembers, the African Cup of Nations is this January and that means we lose :

Drogba, Kalou, Jon Obi Mikel, and Essien.

These guys are the major part of the team. They'll all be out, depending on how far their country goes, anywhere from the middle of january to the begining of February. With just Sheva and Pizarro available....Surely we'll be signing a striker?

If he's not asking too much in wages, but I don't think he can play very well.

I cannot wait for this Cup to start already.

Let's wait and see. Perhaps Pizarro and Sheva can prove themselves good enough to get us through without Drogba.

And we've got midfield covered with Sidwell, Maka and Ballack when Essien and Mikel are away. If needed we can even bring Cole or Sweepy into the centre.

We will be weakened but I think we'll make it anyway. If I'm not mistaking we won't face that many strong opponents.
