Who's your choice?

Its a matter of time before Grant gets the boot, or so we all hope. Yes it might be foolish to sack him immediatly and in turn destroy any and all hopes of making a CL final or moving up a couple of positions in the league, but it would be a bigger mistake to not get rid of him come end season.

So the obvious question looms - whom do you want on the hot seat?

It's a shame that Jose wont return and that Capello is tied down with a contract - that leaves a few names..

Rijaakard

Ancelotti

Mancini

I think if Jose is to take over either of the Milan's or Barca, then their current manager would be an apt replacement. Going for an unknown is not the smartest move and not going for a tactician is going to be a setback in winning a major trophy.

Thoughts ..

Rijkaard. If anyone can attract the players we need to get us playing like Barca it'd be, um...err...the Barca manager! icon_wink.gif

Plus, he's young and hungry. And if it all works out, he could be with us for many years to come (which is just what we need).

"New school" coach. From those choices Rijkaard is the only one fitting that mould. Jose is also one of them. Laudrup's name came up in this forum as well.

If we want a long time coach we need a 40-45 yr old man with a vision.

If we'd get Jose back he would certainly be treated better but I just don't believe Kenyon and Roman would bend their knees and kiss his ar*e to bring him back. If they still get along well and all have grown from that sacking incident everything is possible. I'm just not believeing the hype. And I don't think we will get silverware this season.
