Ticketing Question

Featured Replies

I have a few questions as to how to acquire tickets to matches at Stamford Bridge. I am from Chicago, USA. Given the fact that any match I go to will require the purchasing of a relatively expensive airline flight, I would like to be rather certain that I can acquire tickets, and also do this early enough to book a decent airfare.

Is the best way to guarantee this to become a member? Can a member live in the USA?

I have no problem becoming a member, as I will most likely be attending many games in the upcoming future, if I can obtain tickets. What would my other options for getting decent seats be?

I don't want to spend a lot on a flight, only to end up without a seat. Any advice on what I can do for tickets?

Any words of wisdom would be fantastic and helpful.

Much Appreciated.

Some of the existing overseas members may be of more help to you mate but I will give it a blast.

If you are planing on going to come over a reasonable amount of times then I would say getting a membership is your best bet

However you should be aware that you can't book tickets miles in advance (for example at the moment the latest game you can get a ticket for is the Porto game on March 6th) so it is not possible to get your ticket months and months in advance and then get a cheaper flight.

I am not sure how it works in terms of getting tickets sent to the US however I think you can arrange for your ticket to be left at the box office and you simply pick it up on the day of the game.

It used to be no problem to have the tickets mailed over but now I would not recomend it. The window from the time they go on sale to the match is 4 to 3 weeks and for me that's too small.

I have already made travel plans for March but won't be able to buy tickets for another three weeks so yes some risk is involved, but here are some tips.

1. Become a member, recent success means matches sell out quicker.

2. Pick your match carefully. The bigger the team=harder tickets to get.

3. Book flight first to save money.

4. Have tickets held at the box office for pickup.
