coxy15 respect for putting names forward however all are top first team players how many would be happy to be restricted to 23-30 games all competitions squad player like Ramires apart from maybe Barry who I have to admit has a higher pass % and is a player who gives 100% could of been a good buy when he left sh*tty . as for the meaningful passes that's what brings all the players % down and Ramires has never had I would agree had that in his locker but I can't think of any manager that has or would ask that of him. Its team game and at city last season Mouriniho said Ramires wouldn't of scored the goal Schurrle scored but he would never of let Lampard go free for their equalizer. I think hes worth a contract extension for what on he does do but pass consistency is no worse than the majority of other elp midfielders but u coxy hit a nail on the head with type of pass however that is a lot harder to judge and is that really enough for others to condemn all his efforts past present and future. Today at the game where there were poor displays by many I listened to fans in front sides and behind who all reckoned that they have never rated any of our players behind me Oscar to the left side Hazard/Terry(never had pace maka made him look good) to the right William and some Zouma(now were seeing the real player) despite he was playing out of position in front Costa, Cahill, Ramires , Mikel sorry for the rant but as I said earlier in the thread where is there a team with a top top player in every position that has stats in the 90% + every season.

Name the players and well check the stats

simple who do you think is a better option with a better pass rate than Ramires which is a fact rather than opinion and will sign for us. once more and you might of got it

if your asking how many other midfielders have a passing rate sub 80 very few so what makes there lack of consistency better than Ramires who has a very similar percentage rate, because then is it a case of you don't like the player and you want a player who is as inconsistent as Ramires but you like for their other attributes and as I asked who are these better players to fill his boots. Though I have to admit there is a case to bring the youth players through to fill the roles of some of less regular starters rather than look for new players.

Strange his stats show that Ramires passing is well above average so he can pass and with consistency, I would admit his shooting is on par with the majority of prem midfield players but not above. who and how many other midfielders with the same game time have better pass % and goals to min ratios. I know we all have different opinions but who are the players we think would be better alternatives to ramires and mikel and would they work we seem to have a great knack over the years of buying players that can't adapt or that mangers don't feel they can trust with time on the pitch.

Pleased with this, Like a lot of other players his form has been up and down but considering last season his appearances were limited this season he has looked bright and despite some weak parts to his game he is one player whos head doesn't drop when things are against us and will chase every ball. A trait that has been missing this season from many players games. Can't understand why some feel that every player in the team must all have the skill and attributes of say the top three players in the world. Every player has strengths and weaknesses and I would take Ramires over the many other world class teams equivalent players.

How shocking was Today not one player could control the ball with their first touch. dithering on the ball when options were available, passing even with time on their side piss poor (under hit over hit so obvious a O.A.P. could intercept) until late on everything down the middle players at times so static it looked liked they could see who could stay still the longest and when some of them did make runs the ball seamed to be played away from the space to anyone with at least two opposition players next to them. The kids in the penalty shoot out at half time had more co ordination then our first team. Falcao not a great game but what service did he get I'm pretty sure he isn't familiar with the graham Taylor Watford long ball game . attacking and defending today it looked like all week we had been practicing who could kick it the highest. Atmosphere today well I was at the back of the MHL and I am disappointed to hear there was not much that could be heard at the other end as although it wasn't the best atmosphere ever in there it did seem to be rocking at times although I know it can be deceptive when under a roof. A guy next to me said he sits mostly in the west lower and said it is mostly tourist. why in the plan to the new stadium (apart from money ) more seats will be given to cooperate and hospitality when Mourinho wants more atmosphere is a mystery ,might as well incorporate Brompton Crematory in to the new stand. Rant over.

Sorry crap cliche I admit

Too often we overly hard on ourselves and our players, the league is a marathon and not a sprint. how often in the opening weeks do we see the better teams suffering a slow start while mid table teams reach the dizzy heights of 2nd or 3rd place only to drift off after a few more games. I think last season Swansea were top of the league before we played them at home. We haven't made it easy for ourselves but there's along way to go. Some players are off the pace but we are meant to support the team through the good and the bad instead of just slating them because they aren't playing a Messi five star performance even the greats have weeks mediocre or fluctuating performances.

I hate to I see people at the game (Men, woman and kids) sitting there making no noise apart from a slight cheer when we score. worse still those texting on their phones , kids playing on the xbox in the east lower. I must be wrong to have assumed the match was played on the big green field which as if a hint was needed is in the center of the ground. These people need to realise that to support means they need to get involved. (sorry to go on) but if you go to the match and sit there like a mouse you would be better off at home watching it on tv. If you go for the atmosphere and don't make any noise yourself you nothing more than a 21st century vampire sucking the life out the ground. I hate these people for trying to spoil my match day week in week out. Please f**k off to tennis or snooker where silence is a requirement.

Matic should get a mention as he put in a shift yesterday didn't stop running and covered well when others moved up the pitch leaving gaping holes in our defence , broke up several Leicester attacks and counter attacked instead of going sideways.

I think that the high line can work and have to agree with gary (chuckle brother )Neville the midfield have to press when we don't have the ball too often our midfield and attackers stepped back allowing arseholes the time to pick their passes. In the thread our new system without the ball there is a footage of barcelona showing how it should be done . Our problems seem also to be in this system Terry lacks pace to get back Bosingwa makes forward runs that lack final ball in to box or give away possesion cheeply. Mostly we seem to lack the bite and strength that allowed us to battle and tough out other teams. we need to man up a bit stop complaining when we dont get the decisions going our way and get stuck in to the task.
