As a libertarian I completely agree that militarism is a bad thing. However, you are communicating on the internet, using wifi, mac/windows, on a site that uses php and javascript, and you probably have a smartphone and watch American shows and movies. Yes I've traveled all over Europe. People have much less money there than in the USA. Gentrification in Europe is not the same as in the U.S. Europe has a sh*tty economy and high taxes. U.S. cities like Manhattan, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. are awesome places to live. Not soulless at all. New York New York is the most expensive place to live with the highest concentration of billionaires yet it's the coolest city in the world with plenty of culture. I guess the only way to get rich in Europe is to have old money or get government contracts. Everything anyone cares about is developed in the U.S. Full stop.
