  1. Soft middle at this stage of the season, and without distribution to our wingers who hate a kicking, = disaster.
  2. Dude, I was saying we can't fight on 2 fronts - they (City/Pool) don't play extra games midweek. Chances of winning the title are zero - our squad don't have enough meat on their bones a la Palace defeat showed. City do, they have two Mike Tyson's in the middle for the slug battles. Jose knows this, he even said it for God's sake. His GOAL was to get us CL, then build, anything else a bonus - I know we can take Munich in the CL, same as I know we will take PSG. Is all. But realistically speaking, two fronts, no, and chances of City slipping up, minimum against the sloggers.
  3. Everybody agrees with you, mate. Bar me. I think its over. I made my reasons clear in my post, and I see no reason to change them. I could give a ton of stats of why we don't have a snowballs in the run in. I said, we may have a chance at the CL, as Torres, for some unknown reason, actually wakes up 4 European BIG matches -- the league, he's a joke - and will be booted out in June (for good reason). But to think we have a shot at the title now, is pure delusion. I pointed out why I thought City will win it. Look, I love this club: my late father in law took a pew at the Bridge back in the late 20's - he followed our boys right up to he had to go to war. He saw the Blues a few times after that, but raising a family in the 50's made following the Blues a bit lighter on the pocket. He saw serious games for sure right into the 70's, but not the season long ticket of his youth.
  4. Just IMO, I don't think we have the juice for two fronts. Sure, I like the Gung Ho spirit u have expressed, but in reality, its either one or the other, and the league IMO is gone.
  5. I don't get the FFP rules. UTD are talking about shelling out 200 mil this summer, yet nearly a Billion in debt, not counting the massive wages their players are on, Rooney, VP, et all. Yet, we have to sell to stay within the rules of FFP?
  6. I'm in two minds over this game. Do we go all out to win the CL, and rest our best players in the league fixtures coming up to the next CL game, or vice versa? Personally, I think the league is gone. It was a miracle we kept in contention for so long with basically no strikers. I knew it would come back to haunt us. In saying that, Torres seems to shine in Europe, and my feeling is lets go all out to the CL. I know that sounds negative, but realistically the league is over, and Jose has got what he set out to do this season was ensure CL qualification - we've as good as done that. I really think we can win the CL, if, we fight on one front. Keep playing out best 11/13 at this stage of the season on two fronts, and we will get injuries and end up with f**k all WITH A POXY 3rd place finish - only bragging rights is we finished above the goons who are crap anyway. I feel the momentum is with Pool and City, and either one of them will win it. If it was all games even, I'd say f**k the CL, but it isn't, City have 2 on us and with Kun coming back from injury, realistically, u have to fancy them for the title. They have enough meat on their bones for the hardy lower teams like Palace, to overcome getting kicked a bit - we are a bit soft in a couple of places - hence we've lost points to rubbish away from home; and having no striker doesn't help matters. Just my thoughts.
  7. (1) The chap was the last man back when he deliberately handled the ball on the line, that is no different to being the last man back and taking the opposing player out in the box - a penalty is a penalty no matter which way the FA want to twist it. (2) The more the media heap praise on the opposition and ignore us, the better. Less attention we get at this stage of the season the better.
  8. Was just looking at the tables. Everton have a game in hand on Arsenal,-- assuming they win that, Arsenal (which they will) lose to City, then get beaten by Everton, by my calculations puts Everton into 4th. I would f**kIn' love it if Whinger's lot missed out on C.L spot, then lost to Wigan in the semis. I've never known another set of fans and staff moan so much about our club than the specialists in failure.
  9. Long time Blues fan - currently in a hyper state of post match gloating after today's massacre of Arsenal. Fantastic way for the specialist in failure to celebrate 1000 games in charge.
  10. Tom Lawlor is some actor.
  11. It was a nice little warm up for the boys, and a lovely finishing touch by the deluded Frenchman who specializes in failure adding a magical vanishing act from Post Match press interview today.
  12. I hope this isn't a double edged sword, the extra games in midweek = 4, presuming we get past PSGwho won't be pushovers. I desperately want to see J.M win the title his first season back home, and I hope the wear and tear of the C.L doesn't give City/Pool an added advantage having the extra days breather.
