I would love to be at Stamford Bridge on Sunday: I think it will be very special for Ranieri. My wife has never understood my lifelong attachment to Leicester City, especially as we lived in South London for over 30 years until we moved to France. You can imagine the sarcastic comments: "You drive past Chelsea when you go to Leicester for a game. Chelsea win and Leicester lose, and you do the same thing the next time you go to a Leicester match. You're bonkers you are!"
She's right, of course, but then again all football fans are bonkers. But what's funny is that she's actually become interested in City this season, not because we've been winning things, but because she thinks Ranieri is so lovely! She's watched most of City's games over the past month or so, and also the Chelsea v Spurs game last Monday, which had her in tears.
It's been quite a season one way and another: thanks to Chelsea for helping make it so enjoyable.
