  1. I think there's an element of irony in the list. Just saying.
  2. I would love to be at Stamford Bridge on Sunday: I think it will be very special for Ranieri. My wife has never understood my lifelong attachment to Leicester City, especially as we lived in South London for over 30 years until we moved to France. You can imagine the sarcastic comments: "You drive past Chelsea when you go to Leicester for a game. Chelsea win and Leicester lose, and you do the same thing the next time you go to a Leicester match. You're bonkers you are!" She's right, of course, but then again all football fans are bonkers. But what's funny is that she's actually become interested in City this season, not because we've been winning things, but because she thinks Ranieri is so lovely! She's watched most of City's games over the past month or so, and also the Chelsea v Spurs game last Monday, which had her in tears. It's been quite a season one way and another: thanks to Chelsea for helping make it so enjoyable.
  3. Brilliant win for you guys last night, but bloody hell you left that second goal a bit late. I didn't make up for City being tonked 4-1 at home by Brighton (what a way to celebrate promotion!) but congratulations for all that. Just got to go on and win the bugger now, as Mick Channon once said.
  4. Exactly that. Two things we'll never forget nor forgive: that dive, and selling us Dennis Wise! Actually, the dive was no worse than Anthony Knockaert's at Watford in the playoffs - the difference being that he didn't score from the penalty - and it was Peter Taylor's fault that we got Wise. Thanks for the welcome.
  5. Please don't mention Wise and Leicester City in the same thread. Preferably not in the same language.
  6. Leicester City fan here. Just joined the forum, at least in part to say thanks for the congratulations. Our promotion feels very sweet - it's been a bloody long time coming, mind. References to 2-2 draws between City and Chelsea bring back lots of memories. For me it was the FA Cup fifth round in 96-97. In the first match at Filbert Street, we were 2-0 down at half time and, like they say, lucky to have nil. Dunno what they put in the half-time tea, but we were different again in the second half and could have won it. Then to the Bridge for a replay that was decided by a (dodgy) Leboeuf penalty given by Mike Reed. Danny Baker got fired from the BBC for spending almost the whole of his radio programme after the match, attacking Reed and suggesting that fans should picket his house. Anyway, here's hoping we can play you a few more times over coming seasons. And thanks again to those of you who said "well done"
