If you read my comment you will see that I said you won't understand the rivalry unless either you attend games or are from London. That's where you get the banter/rivalry with other fans. And for the record I've never said that if you go to the games it makes you a proper or better fan. I was merely pointing out understanding the rivalry.

Of course we have to move on. I was expressing my feelings on the matter. If the person sitting next to me decides to applaud Cech then that's fine as it's his choice. The "if you went to games you'd understand" comment? I've been going to Chelsea for 35 years. We accept players come and go but any players going to our rivals don't generally get a good reception. If you don't go to games or are not from London you will not understand the rivalry like someone who is. As I said I won't boo Cech and I'm sure he'll get a fair reception.
