Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
Please excuse the shameless bump! Just popped in to say I told you so. Pep letting this lad go (and not giving him any kind of run, resulting in him wanting to leave in the first place) is a WHOPPER of a blunder.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
I feel compelled to say "I told you so". I so wish we had not sold this lad. No idea what on earth Pep was thinking. OK so Palmer wanted more game time. Pep should have given it to him.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
Palmer performing exactly as I expected him to, tbh. The lad is obviously top drawer talent and I said months ago that people would be saying what on earth were City thinking of, letting him go. He'll get better and better from here as well. You have a future megastar on your hands IMO.

Sorry, missed this. I've really not seen enough of him to form an opinion.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
Whilst of course I don't my claim to know more than the great man, I also know that whilst he is the arguably the best manager around, he's not incapable of error - no-one is. He gets a lot wrong, just less wrong than most. That said, I believe Palmer wanted to leave and Pep has always said he doesn't want players who don't want to play for us, so maybe he wanted to keep him? (I'll gloss over the double-standards in respect of Bernardo Silva). Anyway, Palmer will prove to be MILES better than Raheen Sterling. Again, feel free to bookmark this.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
City fan here, and not posted on here for 9 years I think. Just wanted to say a load of us on bluemoon are absolutely gutted to see Palmer leave, me included. Having watched him come up through the academy, he's an incredible talent and IMO will go on to be world class and better than Foden. The lad can do everything and although it didn't really click for him last season (I think he was just trying up hard to impress) you could see he has talent to burn. This transfer will be remembered just as much, if not more than Mourinho selling KDB. In a year or so - maybe less - the media will be saying "What on earth was Pep thinking, letting Palmer go". You can bookmark this!

Chelsea vs Man City - 31st Jan, 5:30 GMT
Like I said, I would have taken a point before kick off, so it's difficult to be too gutted. I didn't see many comments on here before the game saying that City were a shoe-in to win it. Quite the opposite in fact. Regards the league this year, you have to be strong favourites and perhaps slightly more so after Saturday, so I think you have good grounds to be pleased with a point. A five point gap is nothing, but unless we can sort our form out, the gap is likely to be more than five points by the end.

Oh dear.

Chelsea vs Man City - 31st Jan, 5:30 GMT
Not really. I'd have taken a draw before the game as I thought if anything we were the more likely to lose. Our record at your place is dire, we've been playing like garbage lately and missing key players. Omens were not good. Perhaps on another day we might have sneaked a win, but that's never easy against the best defensive team in the league, so I can't be too disappointed.

Chelsea vs Man City - 31st Jan, 5:30 GMT
Would that be the City without Toure and Nasri, 2 of their key players. And with an unfit Aguero, still coming back from a long injury. Against a Chelea at home defending with 11 men? I see what you mean??!?!

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Indeed. As recent as the Middlesborough game last week we had two penalty claims, one could have gone either way and the other was pretty blatant. That was at 0-0, so who knows how the game would have panned out. The standard of officiating is utter garbage most of the time. Clattenburg, for all his faults, at least isn't a bottler though. He's be reaching for cards of all colours with abandon tomorrow I suspect.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Thanks for the welcome. I certainly didn't come to cause upset by the way, I come in peace -) Can't wait for the game tomorrow. Biggest game of the season by miles and Costa or no Costa you have to be strong favourites. We are garbage at the moment and you are at home, so by all logic it will be a comfortable Chelsea win. But this is football and as both sides know from last Saturday, in football anything can happen. As I say, can't wait.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
Do you expect me to say Aguero's was an accident and no punishment was appropriate? Of course he should have been banned for that. And I get the frustration at the inconsistencies, not that it's all one way traffic since we've been on the brunt of some howlers as well. But regards the "he wasn't looking so he's innocent" defence... watch the video FFS. He knows exactly where Can's leg is and he knows exactly what he's doing. Does it help us? Yes. Is it annoying for you that he's got a ban, sure, I get that. Should he have been banned? Yes, I'm afraid he should. You can't go letting people off because there's been other fouls that went unpunished.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
City fan here. Honestly lads, I think Costa knew exactly what he was doing and deserved the ban. If I thought otherwise, genuinely I would say so. The fact that he wasn't looking, actually makes it more damning because had he genuinely wanted to avoid Can, he would have been looking! That's how I see it, many will doubtless disagree. And I understand the dreadful inconsistency of it all, having been on the receiving end of that plenty ourselves. On to the game, should be interesting. We are playing utter sh*te at the moment, and you don't need to win. So I think it may be a case of the Pitiful Force meets the Immovable Object and a boring 0-0. Either that or we'll get reamed. Hopefully the former.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
Fair comment and in that context I would agree. Balotelli wasn't making comment about Somali's or Ghanians though was he. (Putting the Jew comment aside for one moment) he as a black man, made a comment about black men. I quote from the Oxford English Dictionary: Racism: Prejudice, discrimination, or antogism directed against someone of a different race... Therefore for a "black man" to make a comment about a "black man" cannot be racist. Had he made comment about Somalis, it would be a different matter.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
Nonsense. What it has to do with it, is to point out that there's some terrible, terrible, things happen in this world, terrible things. And people worrying about a bloody cartoon with a joke couple of lines (by a black man with a Jewish mother, I might add) should give themselves a good slap and stop worrying about such utter trivia. I'd be more insulted if someone said my lawn needed a mow.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15
Re Balotelli, is it even possible for a black man to be racist towards black people? Er, no. Second, is "grabs coins like a Jew", really that bad? Suggesting someone is good at collecting money is not even insulting, FFS. You'd have to have paper thin bloody skin to take offence at that. I wonder what the world is coming to sometimes. 130 kids murdered by the Taliban and some idiot at the FA is worried about a ****ing Super Mario cartoon. Honestly, get a ****ing life.

+1 to this. It's a complete travesty in fact. But on another topic: for the first time in the CL, with Yaya suspended, Pellegrini was forced to play 4-5-1 with 2 solid midfielders in Fernando and Fernandino, and guess what, we won comfortably. Instead of playing his normal tactic of playing with a midfield 1 and Yaya spectating, we actually had a go at competing in midfield. What a difference. Away from home with our 4 best players missing and we still won comfortably. So will Pellegrini learn from this and change his tactics for the knockout stages? Of course not, it will be back to 4-4-2 (4-3-2 for most of the time) and we'll get battered again. I pray not, but I can see it coming.

Hello lads, City fan here. Can I just object to the suggestion that those w**kers beat us recently. Setting the record straight for a moment, we've beaten them in the last 4 PL outings. Anyway very unlucky for you at the weekend, with Newcastle at the absolute top of their game. And conversely thanks very much to a ridiculous bit of refereeing in our match against Everton, which we otherwise would likely have drawn at best. Still, keeps the title race interesting eh? Best of luck in the title race and may the best team win. Unless it's United in which case they can f**k off. But don't worry, it won't be.
