Rosenborg vs Chelsea Match Thread
Welcome to Trondheim tomorrow, everyone! The weather recently has been around nill degrees and it will probably be like that tomorrow with no snow and a very hard ground, so I don't think that the weather will have any impact on the game. As for our style of play, you couldn't be more wrong. If you had watched us against Schalke or Valencia, you would know that we never base our play on set pieces or long passes. The better opponent, the harder it is to play well, but Rosenborg always try to build up attacks on the ground and with quick and short passes directed always forward. That's how we beat Valencia at Mestailla and that's how we will try to play tomorrow. I've got a very bad feeling about the game though. RBK haven't played a game since three weeks ago, and even though we are at home, we are playing one of the top 10 teams in Europe. I just hope the Rosenborg-players show real commitment and try their hardest. I will accept us losing, as long as we do so with pride. Everyone expected us to finish last with 0 points anyways, as did I actually, but I very much enjoyed the games up until now, and I have no expectations for points in the last two games anyway. But my oh my how I hope we can surprise again! :)

Chelsea v Rosenborg
What a fantastic experience that was! The atmosphere among us fans before the game was tence, but still good. During the game it was superb, and after the game - OMG I was so tired and glad, I couldn't believe what I had just experienced. Our lads really impressed me at times. Fair enough, we WERE very lucky, but the players run their hearts out, they created a few chances, went on a few counter attacks, scored a great goal and they did everything they could to upset Chelsea and prevent them from scoring. You can't expect a, in Europeen scale, small team coming to Stamford Bridge doing much more than that. By the way - what do you think about us Rosenborg-fans? For me, standing in the middle of us and making as much noise as I could, I was very pleased with me and my fellow supporters, but did it sound as good in the rest of the stadium and on TV/radio? And did anyone experience any trouble? Friendly greetings from Norway

Chelsea v Rosenborg
Hello from Trondheim! Off to London tomorrow morning, it'll hopefully be a nice experince. If we don't play better than we have been lately, we could lose 5-0 or more though. But on our best, this team could surprise many teams in Europe. And yes, we are the team from little Norway, having beaten the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus at home and Borossia Dortmund away, though that's a few years ago. Our team should be: GK: Hirschfeld. Decent canadian international. RB: Strand. Our biggest hero, being here his whole career and having over 100 games at top level in the european cups. CD: Christer Basma. Getting old and slow, and playing him says alot about our defence. CD: Miika Koppinen. Finnish mad man, decent no-noncence defender. LB: Micke Dorsin. Swedish player, very strong and good going forward, but horrible positioning when defending. RW: Per Ciljan Skjelbred. Will run his heart out, decent technique but still young and makes some silly mistakes from time to time. IM: Marek Sapara. The star of our team, very dangerous free kick and brilliant technique and passes, but a bit slow and doesn't offer much when defending. CM: Vidar Riseth. Having played at numerous clubs in Europe, including Rangers among others, he has alot of experience at this level and will run and tackle throughout the whole game. IM: Alex Tettey. Youngster with excellent lungs, but as with Skjelbred he loses the ball too often. LW: Abdou Traore. Very talented youngster with an excellent technique and a good shot, but does too much on his own at times. FW: Yousuff Kon?. Great shot, good technique, good jump, very dangerous inside the 18 yard box, could be our goalscorer if given the opportunity. Has scored 6 goals in the four qualifier-games! All I want is 11 players in white playing their best and making us supporters proud. I'll be singing my heart out at the bridge, and hope it will be a great atmosphere at the game. PS!
