I will start by saying my nickname started as the butcher because of my love of knives. In the mid 90s someone decided to call me Fred Elliott which stuck. Last one this I promise. The city of Liverpool has always been a production line for world class footballers. Add to this the fact that there is opportunity for young players to develop at a premier league club tells me we will have no problem whatsoever in attracting emerging talent. Our problems arise when we try to attract established top class players.

Are you for real? It was Chelsea ignorance and sheer arrogance in pursuing a deal which was a no go all along which angered martinez. Your whole approach stunk to high heaven. Chelsea tried to use the media to their advantage on this one which rebounded even faster back in their face. As for buying the kid in January there is more chance of abramovich shopping in primark. Well said! Move on as I suggested 2 weeks earlier. If Everton had ever suggested a price (never happened) then it was up to Chelsea to match it or at least come up with something near the valuation. Instead it was decided by someone at your club to unsettle a young man by informing the media prior to each and every stage of your bidding process thus angering all concerned At EFC.It was decided at a very early stage not to even enter into discussions over the sorry matter. Only one club "dicked around" at their own expense. I agree with some that Chelsea may be back at a later date but think you will see a totally different approach.
