  1. Well, his attitude surely changed somewhat, between offering the necessary assurances to get his 4 year contract and actually getting down to it. If Mr Abramovich, had any doubts about Jose's commitment on 7 August after the summer break then he would have been wiser to offer him 2 years not 4. So how does any guy go from pitching for a long term contract, to giving up, without some sort of hidden agenda? Not to say this does not happen, but any lack of inspiration on the part of Jose' would not come overnight, would it? So given his hankering for fergies' old job and his obvious skill and ability as a leader & inspiration, walking away was not an option (breach of contract penalties) What better way than to secure a 4 year contract, then let everything crash and burn until he got some sort of cut-off payment to go on gardening leave. "Not needing the money", never meant he would sniff at a release payment. So lets do the math eh? Get the contract, trash the job, wait til the publicity dies down (as it has), then do the deal for fergies old job.
  2. Is there an unmentionable Elephant in the room? Jose signed a new 4 year contract on Friday 7th August 2015 and on the following day the Carneiro incident resulted in her sacking and we forget the decline of Jose's position as emanating from this first game incident. Look at the situation immediately prior to the verbal tirade aimed at a doctor concerned for a player. Courtois had been sent off and the referee had called medics on, so there was no need for his tirade. This was such a pivotal moment that it simply indicated that if , in the future, Carneiro attempted to protect the immediate safety of any player in the team, then she should consider the state of play first and foremost contrary to her training, even if they see a life threatening situation unfolding. The players knew that Carneiro had their safety to consider and they saw Jose's treatment of her in the ensuing weeks. Refusing to acknowledge his own impetuous nature, things got from bad to worse. He had his new 4 year contract. Yes, it was his passion that gave him and the team their successes and may well lead to Red glory. But to imagine this great tactician to have been completely ignorant of the implications of showing contempt towards Carneiro appears ignorance in itself. The ensuing disinterest in the following matches by the players and, above all, team spirit, could reasonably indicate that he knew what he was doing all along, & well before these events unfolded. Add the above to his admiration for "fergies legacy" and obvious friendship, it seems he was not looking at theshedend forum for ideas, but was more likely the master of his own destiny way before the Carneiro incident. All this time Van Gaal was allowed to tread water and lay a basis for a potential 'storytale' "come back" that may appear on the horizon. Couple of duff managers after fergie to cement his prowess and now for the special one. We know now that Jose has conveniently remained available until now. We shall see if medics at m*fc cross him and he does not give them similar abuse as that given Carneiro he will either have learned his lesson or decided not to move on for a while by ostracising the whole club by stripping the trusted team medic of all dignity. You have to give him credit for his audacity in remaining in the club while all the fireworks were pointing towards him. Master of himself and professor of schematics.
  3. Can't anyone see why I posted that it was all on the cards for him to replace Van Gaal when I posted in December, just needed 'time to heal' before doing the obvious. Seems like the fiasco that started the season has now played into the hands of m*fc and Jose has always appeared to be close to Fergie The row with the doctor Poor start to the season Total disaffection Then it leads to today's announcement (like we all forgot)
  4. So it took 5 months to finally announce what was said here on 20-12-15 Posted 20 December 2015 - 10:37 AM https://t.co/8AzG8eFdPh
  5. Oh, I see there is "an announcement looming" regarding Jose' and his next appointment,
  6. How is this prospect looking now compared to 20th December?
  7. You haven't asked where Jose' is going. Clearly going to take Van Gaal's place Not a coincidence that Van Gaal is showing virtual disinterest and an opening is clearly arising. Timing is perfect Jose had a hankering for taking over in Van Gaal's present position
  8. In the past Mourinho has always had a trick or two up his sleeve, I would expect the same to happen here so I am not writing him off, especially as I am no match for his talent
  9. No probs just seems so obvious
  10. Jose' deserves the respect because of his achievements He knew the situation respecting Hazard and should have been consulted then he would have accepted all the responsibilities
