This could be a very important game. If Liverpool lose at lunchtime and Spurs lose to Bournemouth tomorrow and if we win today, the gap will become narrower. We have to play both Liverpool and Spurs at the Bridge. Win both of those and we are back in the mix for top 4. In between we have Barca to face. It looks impossible to me but football can be a funny old game. Taking 3 points today is essential. I'd rest Alonso and Moses and bring in Zappacosta and Palmieri. No more false No 9's please. Just seen Conte's post match conference. He's totally deluded. It's damage limitation with him and not what the side could actually inflict on Man Cirt if the selection was right and the tactics were right. He's too safe and that will lead to his downfall.

Atletico defended like lions and only a superb free kick from Messi separated the teams. Costa scored in the last 10 minutes but it was ruled offside. Of the two teams I'd say Man City are better but we will come under the cosh in that second leg. Judging by today we need to pray for a result.
