  1. Well, he left a scar in the heart of Juve fans not for his way to manage the team. To be fair, the Juventus that played under him during his first year as a coach was the most exciting I've seen play from the nineties. On the other hand he has a huge issue with communication and he's extremely stubborn, instead of taking responsibilities after having lost to Galatasaray and eliminated from the group stage of the Champions League he said that we couldn't expect him to win with a panda, when other teams were equipped with tanks, even if no one was requesting him to dominate Real Madrid but at least to win both matches against Copenhagen. He also left Juve during preseason after a harsh discussion regarding the transfer market with our management, stating that Juve would have not become competitive again in Champions for a long time. There's plenty of stuff for some fans to despise him, but personally I am still thankful for having brought us to be great again and I am sure he will do the same with Chelsea. I haven't seen yesterday's game to be honest, but the draw against Swansea is solely on certain players shoulders. I also think that you're confusing him with Allegri in reference to Oscar.
  2. The philosophy is much different because in England managers have(or at least used to have) longer spells at a club, therefore it works exactly as you said. Italian owners and managers are quite moody(see Cellino or Pozzo ), thus it becomes a key factor to have an executive that is on top of the coach since it is much easier that they would stay longer and plan a long term future for the club. A director usually asks a coach wether or not they need a defender, a midfielder or a striker but it is rare that they leave the last word to a coach: you can see this clearly from Conte's previous interviews or from famous executives such as Moggi, Marotta or Galliani.
  3. In the Italian clubs the managers do not select the players, it is all up to a different executive who's job title is "Sports Director". Conte wasn't a huge fan of the two you've mentioned at first since he wanted to play with 2 midfielders and having Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio forced him to put them all together in the pitch. As a matter of fact he had few clashes with our management due to the players they were signing instead of the ones he wanted, he once said: "You can't expect me to sit in a £100 restaurant with £10 in the pocket" referring to the UCL and Juventus targets on the market at the time.
  4. Well, he said the same thing about Ogbonna when he was coaching Juventus . Conte wasn't great at spotting talents back then(he resigned because Juve board didn't get either Cuadrado or Iturbe) but I sincerely hope he's improved so that you guys can win the title this year.
  5. He should have probably played more at the beginning of his second spell, since it is hard to consider Chiellini better than him(alas I am not a fan of Giorgio, who's massively overrated in my opinion). He had many chances from the third season on but due to his injuries he was never able to become a starter, then you read what happened and Juventus is not the type of club that forgives twice(Vidal docet).
  6. I am a Juve fan, therefore I know him quite well. Martin is really strong both technically and tactically. He was by far Juventus best in 1 on 1 fundamentals, so fast and reactive that no one could dribble him in Series A. If he gets back in shape, he may be a key asset for Chelsea but he is a problematic individual as well. Juventus decided to let him go because of his love for the nightlife, the alcohol(he destroyed two Ferraris over the years and got his driving licence retired) and he's also injury prone. During his spell at Juventus I've never seen him play more than 4 matches consecutively and that is why I believe he may be a good deal but I would never offer him more than a 2 year agreement. If Conte manages to revive him, that would be his masterpiece.
