When I think about how bad Bakayoko is I instantly remind myself it could be worse, we could have Granit Xhaka in our team. At least Bakayoko tries, he can't help he has an inferior skill set in comparison to the rest of his team mates. Xhaka is just an absolute disgrace of a professional footballer.

Alonso has a decent left peg on him but apart from that he is defensively fragile. He is too slow and Emerson is lightyears ahead in athleticism and his overall game is more dynamic. I think Conte was showing loyalty to Alonso by not picking Emerson over him. That's literally the only excuse I think of to why Emerson wasn't first choice from after the first few training sessions.

He is the real deal it seems. Now we need to find a proper RB of similar quality and we have the right balance.

Emerson has really impressed. Reminds me of Ashley quite a bit. Strong defensively and tidy when going forward.
