As I mentioned before we were at least as happy as you were when you defeated our enemies 0-5 in that Sami Yen rubbish dump :) We also have a good record in Sukru Saracoglu that we have not lost since the end of 2005 but that loss was caused by 4 goals coming from Sheva, who is in your squad now :). We have even not lost points in this year's CL campaign and won all our games against Anderlecht, Inter, PSV, CSKA and Sevilla. We only concedded 3 goals 2 of which were scored by Edu's own goals :) Only Escudé of Sevilla was the opposition player to have scored to us in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium. We are trusting in our form this year in Kadikoy. Anyway, CKR has a different style of football. When he first came, everybody was impressed of his style. He has a really nice dribbling skill and is fast. But I think he could not use his talents for the good of his team and lost his place. He often did artistic moves, that excited the crowd maybe but did not contribute to the game. Ronaldinho also does artistic moves but he assists to forwards that way. If he could not assist, those moves would be useless. CKR also has a low football discipline I think, but he will surely improve.

Yes, I can say that the atmosphere here is better than Greece. Let me give you a piece of information. Did you know that the fans in our stands who are organizing the pregame choreography needed an empty area of nearly 1000 square meter and they wrote this subject to fan forum and wanted help from the others. They culd not find and decided to do that in the space between the two floors of our stands, they worked really hard to create the visual show and a group of nearly 100 guys worked 2 full days to organize it. Here are some pictures of the banner organization and preparations. And the guys spent the night like this. I'm sure this picture tells you a lot. These are also our handmade banners which I took part in painting.

Away to Sunderland
Boring but an important victory for the Blues. Congratulations. But the level of football was not as high as I expected. But it is important for a team to win even playing not so well.

cheers, mate. that last question was a bit of a goof -- a few seasons ago there was a rumor that Chelsea were interested in signing Carlos in a true galacticos fashion because Roman's young son's favorite player was Carlos and he had posters of him throughout his room. so he might want to get his shirt as a souvenier! Hmm thank you for sharing this mate. I didn't know this, so the question looked absurd to me :)

Away to Sunderland
You got it! Chelsea have 3 titles (last 2 after Abramovich), PSG and City have 2 titles and Bolton have no titles. The remaining teams do not have titles with 1 digit. If Abramovich didn't buy Chelsea, Chelsea would be a mid-table team like Blackburn, Portsmouth. Am I wrong?

Away to Sunderland
Paris Saint-Germain Arsenal Real Madrid Paris Saint-Germain ? Liverpool (loan) Manchester City Fenerbahçe Bolton Wanderers Chelsea Aren't any of these big clubs? Anelka is being sold to the teams by his brother just for money. I'm sure he is the player that has made the most number of transfers of his age (29). Can you tell me which of these clubs did Anelka help to achieve their objectives? The answer is probably NONE. Already if the answer was any team, that team would not sell Anelka. If he has the right mentality and the passion of playing football, or being a member of a team, I'm sure he would be the best forward player but his talents are not only enough to make him a great player. He always creates or causes problems. Anyway, Sunderland seems like they have put the game in a balance. The tempo of the game is slow and I think this is an advantage for us.

Away to Sunderland
I think you'll not feel the absence of Anelka. He was just transferred to fulfill Drogba's place, when he was away for African Cup of Nations. When he returned there is no need for Anelka. I was really shocked that Chelsea transferred Anelka. Because all of the players of Chelsea have football discipline and they are hardworking, ambitious players. But Anelka never forces his limits, and he is a spiritless player. When he was in our squad, he didn't attend lots of training sessions instead he went on his training in the swimming pool. This caused our fans to taunt him to be a player of our (Fenerbahce's) swimming team, not football team. Before Roberto Carlos, he was the player with the best football career of our history. But when we could sell him to Bolton, all the fans were happy after finally we got rid of Anelka. By the time I was writing these, Terry scored. This is a good news for me. I want Chelsea to push the Premiership to the last game. This will make the players tired and concentrate less on the quarter final game against us. So I can say "Go Blues"... But for the Premiership only ;)

Both of the shots were coming from at least 27-28 metres out and Volkan get a touch in the first (could not punch it out from the goal) and missed the second one. In 9th minute, we were down 2-0 and 3 of our guys were shown yellow cards against maybe the most attacking team of Europe. At that moment, I was afraid the game was going to a horrible score for us with 5 or 6 goals but we could stand up and show that we want to qualify. We created some chances. We couldn't score goals with good attacking organizations maybe, but we created good opportunities enough to score. We missed them but then scored with our dead ball weapon. I think, if Chelsea doesn't underestimate us and study their lesson, they are really favorites but Sevilla underestimates us and we saw the result. I think don't come to Turkey because our stadium is very noisy in CL games and your chants couldn't even be heard. But coming to Turkey and see the atmosphere of our stadium will be an unforgettable experience for you. If you are sure to eliminate us and then the winner of Arsenal - Liverpool, use your final bullet to go to Moscow :) But be careful. Your trip may have to be delayed for a year. The choice is yours.

I mean these are unforced and personal mistakes. Mistakes which must not be made by the players of Champions League calibre. Of course they are part of football but unfortunately they happen more often than normal in our matches :) Give him a break, at least he's writing about the football and not just saying "Welcome to hell...." and all that crap. Thanks for your support, Jane.

Fenerbahce's formation
Roberto Carlos is of course not the player with his top form in Real Madrid but he is still very fast and quick. He still makes those runs but of course less than we got used to. In our domestic league he always tries to run upfront and support the attack but in important games, such as Sevilla, we rarely saw him running up the flank. But I think that's why the tempo of Sevilla is very high and their most important attack combination was their wings, with Dani Alves and Jesus Navas on the right wing. With those players in the oppositionj, Carlos of course ran less and instead he tried to do his defending job well. But Chelsea's tempo is slower than Sevilla and I think Carlos will make more runs than against Sevilla. When he's close to the opposition penalty area, our left winger Ugur Boral, who was the rising star of our team in the final game of our group CSKA (he scored two goals) and both Sevilla matches. (he assisted to Kezman in the first games and created dangerous attacks against Dani Alves), comes back to fill Carlos' space at the back. The free-kick taker of our team is our captain Alex de Souza. If you do not follow Fenerbahce's games, you may be underestimating him but I think he is the best free-kick taker in the world. I don't mean direct free-kicks with this statement. Juninho, Beckham, van Hooijdonk :), (Real Madrid time of) Carlos, C.Ronaldo may be better direct freekick takers than Alex but if you think to cross the ball from freekick especially near the touchline or from the wings, you can find no better man than Alex de Souza, in the world. I'm trying to follow every European league and every football game, or highlight I see on TV or on youtube and I'm saying that Alex de Souza is the best in indirect freekicks. He also uses direct freekicks, nearby the arc but always with a soft touch. Alex can only score because he sends the ball to an unreachable point, not because his shot was very fast or uncatchable. Carlos sometimes uses freekicks which are in the middle of the two touchlines and which are far away from the goal. This is because Alex can not curve the ball from middle. Alex gives such a curve that everybody in the opposite team fears and we all jump and prepare ourselves to celebrate. Alex kicks it such that even the ball doesn't touch anybody, it gets directly to the far post. I think you and players will always feel panic until you see the ball cleared by your defenders. Carlos is in form with contributing to the offence but his shots and freekicks are far from dangerous unfortunately. Everybody expected him to score a freekick goal or a goal from a long range shot but all got disappointed. Both his shot power and accuracy are away from those of his Madrid days. He scored two goals one with a header and the other with right foot. He still didn't score with his magical left foot and I think the Blues becoma the first team to experience that :) He is the oldest player of our squad and he teaches some of our players, especially Ugur Boral, and shares his experiences. Everybody in the team, and watching the game feels confident when they see that quick bald guy :) He covers lots of mistakes of our central backs with his pace and earns them time to come back. I didn't understand the last question fully but Carlos is a lively person and I don't think that he'll refuse to give a shirt. Any other questions ? :)

I did not mean your question. I meant the ones who are only able to write laughing sounds like hahaha and something like that. I'm studying Mathematical Engineering and that may be the reason I use statistics in my messages. And I have a strong memory of games of Fenerbahce. Bolic is now retired but we have new Bolics :) Good day to you too :(

Fenerbahce's formation
I just want to share opinions with you :) And I'll be pleased if you (I mean not you, the other Chelsea fans) speak something about football, instead of just taunting. I'm sure Manchester fans had taunted with us in 1996, until we erased their 40 year lasting home games unbeaten record, with the goal of Elvir Bolic. Chelsea have had 2 wake up calls recently in domestic cups, your team will do well to get a score draw in Turkey, but have you seen the home record of the 'soon to be' european Champions and the no#1 ranked team in UEFA ? Go check what your up against. Personally, I won't expect a spot in semi-final, if we cannot beat Chelsea in Saracoglu in the first game. My plan to eliminate Chelsea is to get a clean sheet win in Istanbul and hope for Drogba and Lampard to have a bad day :( Or our defenders to have a good day. We have to take the advantage in Istanbul. If the team which must do something in the second match is Fenerbahce, I think we'll probably lose. For that reason, the first game is very important, clearly the most important game of Fenerbahce's history. We should go to Stamford Bridge with an advantage, no matter how small that advantage is.

There, i've fixed this for you too. For your information pal, the last time we were invited to ''hell'', we quite happily smashed 5 past your pals at Galatasaray. Hopefully Kezman will play for you! Expect to get heavily beaten at the Bridge. (Turkish teams always travel really well, dont you think?) Oh, and if it's a fight you're after, then visit the Matthew Harding Lower in particular. I'm sure you'll find one. Now sod off. Beleive me we more happier than you when you scored 5 times to 6alatasaray (the name of that silly team changed into 6alatasaray :) after we smashed them 6-0 in Sukru Saracoglu in the 6 November, 2002). We used to get heavy defeats in away matches up to this year but we are different now, really different. We can produce many new things other than providing goal advantage for our opposition. Those years were hopefully left behind. We have Roberto Carlos, the player with the most ever Champions League appearances, and the assist leader Alex de Souza. We did not get defeats against our real rivals in group stage for the second spot after Inter (CSKA and PSV). Deivid, our top goalscorer, was shown a controversial red card in Netherlands, and Edu, our centre back, unfortunately delivered 2 goals to CSKA in Russia (one short back pass to goalkeeper, other creating a penalty :() but we even got one point. Also in Sevilla, we were defeated but this time our goalkeeper (Volkan) made 2 personal mistakes but eventhough we could overcome that and make the game fo to the extratime then penalties. Who could guess Volkan could be the hero of that day with 3 penalty saves?

Fenerbahce's formation
Kezman has had very hard times in Istanbul because starting from our defeat to Newcastle last year, we play 4-4-1-1 formation and Kezman isn't a player that can play the only striker up front. He started wasting the chances and scoring few goals created a physcological problem in him I think and he even could not control the passes, could not score very clear goal opportunities and was shown some red cards which made him even more stressed and thus he could not reflect his quality. In the beginning of this season, everybody expected Kezman should leave, because we can play only 6 foreign players in the starting line up. But our coach Zico insisted on him although his unlucky and poor performances continued this season. And starting form 2008, Batman started to show his quality and scored lots of goals and some of them was really crucial as his goal against Sevilla which opened scoring for us. Personally, I'm still frustrated by his overall performance but it is impossible to underestimate his rising form since 2008. We have also Semih Senturk, who is from our own football institute. He is at the bench now, due to Kezman's rising performance but he filled our striker position very successfully in Kezman's absence due to his leg injury. Semih is now leading the top-scorers in our domestic league and scored 2 crucial goals in Champions League one to PSV and the other against Sevilla which brought us the victory in Kadikoy, and probably the quarter final in the previous matchday. Semih is more likely to play the alone striker than Kezman because he can get headers from the opposing defenders and he can play like a wall between the opposing defenders and our team. But the best player in this category, I think is unfortunately in your line up :), 11 - Didier Drogba.

Fenerbahce's formation
Just looking at the quality of players, and if I weren't a Fenerbahce fan, I would say that Chelsea is more likely to go through, but I'm a fan of Fenerbahce and I know the style of our team's European football so I can say that we are as lucky as Chelsea if we can show our passion and stamina. Inter was also more powerful than us but we beat them at Sukru Saracoglu 1-0. It was a 1-0 victory but the score may seem misleading. Every team can beat a strong team 1-0, scoring a lucky goal and defending the rest of the game, as Barnsley beat the Blues. But against Inter, we created too many opportunities and wasted all of them except for Deivid's great strike to the Champions' League assist leader Alex de Souza's perfect cross. The shooting statistics for that game was 7 shots finding the target and 10 wide for Fenerbahce, while the numbers are 2 and 4 for Internazionale, respectively. We were also up-front in possesion with %53. We may lose silly points in our local league, as we did against Bursaspor and Ankaragucu a few weeks ago but we always play a different style of football in Europe. We always refuse to lose. Of course Chelsea are favourites but qualifying for semis won't be as easy as you guess. And the first game in Sukru Saracoglu Stadium will be very decisive.
