I've seen Modric play since he was 18 and I'm still watching him every week. Trust me on this:he can play where ever he wants. ANY club in the world, at starting 11 straight away! Sure, Premier league is very demanding but that's exactly the challenge he needs and wants. The boy is ready for the big scene. It won't happen by magic and he'll probably need some adjusting period like most player that come to England but he will preform and he'll do it with great style. He does look small but he's strong on his feet and very though fellow. He adds pace to the game, has excellent technical skills, great passing and sense for the game. So when you think if you would like Luka Modric in the squad ask yourselves do you want Deco, Iniesta, Fabergas, Pirlo or Diego because he's very much like them if not better. And he's hungry for success and I think that's most important thing when you want to build a team around a player. No one likes bunch of over payed sissies dragging trough the filed like they don't give a damn... Besides, its only appropriate for him to change one blue shirt with another. Kalinic is pretty good, although still far from Chelsea starting 11 material. And I don't think it's good for him to sit on bench. He's way too good for Croatian league though, so he probably needs to go somewhere and toughen up a little. After Luka Modric the best player still residing here in Croatia. He's got good technical skills and is quite a menace near the goal, a "fox in the box" if you will... Hard to guard, excellent in duel, can play with his back against the goal, fast on the ball and always hungry for goals. Here's a video compilation of his goals, some scored when he was only 18.
