Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
We're going to spend an absolute bomb on players over the next 6-8 months. You know a top drawer centre midfielder will be coming in, we'll fight you lot for Shaw and probably end up getting a different left back, We'll sign one or two centre halves to replace Rio and Vidic and I suspect if we have room for one more, another CM or a RB. Out of our first 11 we really only need two more players to get back near the top imo. We have a fair amount of strength in depth, but where we've been shown up this season is in our first eleven with Rooney, RvP, Carrick and Vidic not performing. Playing something similar to how you do I could see this as a starting eleven not too far away and I honestly think it looks fantastic. The two additional names are players I don't think we'll get but just for illustration purposes to show what a genuine injection of quality could do. DDG Raf Evan Smalling Shaw Vidal Carrick Januzaj Rooney Mata RvP That's a starting eleven that could take on any team. Perhaps a little lightweight at the back but awesome upfront and stable in the middle.

Congrats on some excellent trolling.

I'd believe the first one. Surely the second is rubbish. Then again, they did give him a 30+million signing bonus.

Everything that Mata's
Yep, and kudos to Chelsea if that's the case.

Look, it's a nice fair amount of money and I suppose on FFP, squad places and giving Mourinho some cash to bring in his own man (striker) it makes sense. He mustn't be too worried about us for the forseeable.? Wenger's great but Moyes isn't as bad as this year has looked. He was the one I wanted as I said here at the time Fergie retired and I think this signing is a massive step in the right direction and something of a statement about our future plans per style of football.

Still think we'll get 4th. The scousers are playing each other next week and Spurs are going to get twonked by City. We should beat Cardiff and that'll see us gain nicely on all of them. Last weekend actually went better than I expected. Knew your lot would do us so Liverpool and Everton dropping points when I thought they'd both win was a massive bonus. We have some serious improvement to come and I just can't believe we'll go through a full season as badly as we've done so far. Our new man, RvP and Rooney all coming back should fire us up the table. Hopefully.

I'm just amazed that this is actually happening. Stunned that you would sanction this transfer.

Enlighten me? When was the last penalty or something game changing that went our way?

Not saying it was right, just giving what I have to assume the referee's thought process.

He couldn't give the Valencia one because he'd let Cole off with a similar one two minutes earlier although the Valencia one was the worse tackle.

There was only two in the box and one was a half hearted effort. Apart from that I think most of the ones we claimed out of the box were given. Some were less handballs than the penalty shout.

True with the DeBruyne incident (which was an accidental elbow) and in my finest Wenger impression I didn't see the Torres one. Ah no, it was a penalty all day long man. I'd say it straight away if it was at the other end too.
