Legend?
I agree that the term 'Legend' is bandied around far too often, and should really be used only for those who truly deserve it. Wholehearted commitment to the club, while admirable, is surely not enough to earn such a lofty status. A few key goals here and there contribute to one's case, but I still feel as though someone like Cole falls just short of warranting the title. Players like Zola and Drogba have come to define the club in recent times, and I feel this is the sole criterion by which a player can truly be labelled as legendary. When I think of Chelsea, I see these greats in my mind's eye. I feel this, the overarching contribution that some players have offered the club, is the sole criterion by which we can judge a legend. Cole remains a fantastic person and player, but not a legend for me.

Drogba Interview
I've never seen Drogba be anything but immaculate in his interviews. Composed, classy, and passionate. The epitome of what makes this club great, he's rightly considered an unforgettable icon. He will be sorely missed.

Fellaini
I reckon we could do a lot worse than picking up Fellaini in a straight swap for Essien (whilst he still has value) and rotating the midfield around him, Lampard, Mikel, Ramires and (in dire straits) Mereiles. His aerial presence as others have mentioned would be invaluable alongside someone like Ramires.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
In that case I'd say (with some trepidation concerning the hefty fee) that I'm excited about him as a potential signing, and to be honest if the club has the money to spend they may as well bring in some premium players, and if comparisons with Ronaldo and Torres are to be believed then his reputation is certainly indicative of a star fit for the club. Thanks for the tip about him playing tonight, will be sure to forge some more opinions on him following that.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Bold claim, I saw him against City and he was a little underwhelming, but there was certainly something there and room for improvement. From the videos I have seen he looks very light-footed for a hefty player, which I would agree is quite Ronaldo-esque. How's his finishing? I've seen a few long range pearlers but not enough from close to judge yet.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
No worries, just a futile attempt to defuse this situation which has certainly escalated, but I'm happy to have some solid information about Hulk's playing style.

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Thanks for the video advice, less so for the condescension. I take your point about freedom of speech, especially here, I was merely suggesting that circular arguments that really don't lead to any conclusions due to both parties holding irreconcilable opinions are bound to be fruitless. Will check out ESPN now, thanks again!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Can I throw my hat in the ring and attempt to divert everyone's attention back to the topic at hand, that is to say Hulk and his probable signing. Having only see snippets of Hulk's time in Portugal and limited to a knowledge of his abilities gleamed from watching the Europa League, I'd be much more interested in this thread if I could learn more about this player's attributes rather than Dortmund's style or Gotze's position. If I wanted to know about either of those things I would visit a BVB forum instead. In-fighting and consistent one-upsmanship are quite frankly childish and irrelevant here, so can we cut it out?

Chelsea FC - Against All Odds - Champions of Europe - Movie By Feroze (20 Minutes)
That shot of Drogba before the crowd is spectacular. Just encompasses everything he meant to the club, he is and ever shall be a hero. Great video!

Who do UEFA hate English teams?
It would seem that Platini, along with the rest of the continental contingent, have a distorted view of English clubs as having no poise or elan, relying exclusively on heart and passion to carry them to trophies rather than beautiful football. I'm sure it isn't just Chelsea (and, in the future, Man City) who are subjected to this treatment, I remember the same distaste from UEFA when it became clear that two English teams would be competing for the title back in 2008.
