Posted January 12, 200916 yr Ray Wilkins to blame ? Are you serious ? The bottom line is Mourinho was cleared out despite being our greatest manager ever, Grant took over his team and despite trying to balls it up at every opportunity managed a second place in EPL and CL (what would we give for that this season ? ) Scolari had set his reputation on getting Robinho and has no other plan to cope with the loss of that player. He has an ageing team and seems to think Kalou, Malouda and Deco are worth their place in the team or on the bench. He sold the only decent left-sided player at the club and has no width to accommodate Drog/Anelka up front. Expect a 4th/5th place finish, an FA Cup exit by Round 5 at best and a defeat v Juve. Not so big Phil will resign by Easter and we will appoint Di Matteo as the new manager. He will play the likes of Mancienne regularly and blood some youth. In the summer Deco, Ballack, Malouda and Drogba will depart. Now my crystal ball has clouded over.

At least if we hired a brigh young manager like Robbie D (and a Chelsea favourite to boot) we'd be sending a clear message that we are planning for the future. Right now I onestly have no idea what direction the board is trying to sail in.

January 13, 200916 yr It started as a spot on post regarding who is to blame for the current poor performances and turned into a dream. Is Robbie D ready yet?, would love to see him at the club one day but I think he needs at least one more season cutting his teath at the lower leagues, having said that i'd love to be proved wrong!! Why is it so many us want to see some quality young talent (England potential would be nice) however the powers at Chelsea seem to think otherwise!! Mancienne vs Alex, no contest in my opinion, Mancienne every time!! Scott Sinclair, is he good enough? how will we ever know if he isn't given a chance, i'm not sure myself but would like to see him given a go!!
January 13, 200916 yr Im sorry, but I cant in good conscience believe that Scolari, who has coached some of the best in the world, looks at Kalou and Malouda and thinks "well, their last 5 games were sh*t, and they cant actually do A, B, and C, but gosh darnit, I believe in them." No, no way. Something is wrong behind the scenes, and he is not allowed to get rid of them because we would suffer an embarrassing sell back for half the price. That, or Roman is simply not rich anymore, and losing them would mean he gets no money to replace them. Either way, he is towing the company line and saying all the things that one would if they had no other options. "I tell peter I like my team right now." Yeah, im sure you do. Thats why we cant get a cross out of anyone besides Ashley Cole or Bosingwa And how anyone puts the blame for not getting Robinho on Scolari's shoulders is beyond me. He is guilty of alot of things, but when you come to a "rich club" and say you want two players, you dont expect to lose out on the most important one because some bald moron decided to play hardball in the final 48 hours of the transfer window and blows it, bigtime. For all we knew he had three more targets lined up, but its common knowledge many of these "seller clubs" will close up shop early unless tehy get their socks knocked off, simply because they dont want to disturb the team. The window is open now. If we were going to get Robinho for 31 million, lets spend that money now, and sell off some of this f**king garbage on our roster.
