Splitting the League

The Scottish League spits towards the end of the season, supposedly to make it more manageable and exciting apparently but I think its a stupid idea and unfair. Its unfair on the clubs who end up in the bottom half and it can muck up fixtures, derbies and home advantages.

I've never heard of it suggested for the Premiership and hopefully that continues but I wondered what others though of the idea of league splits ? Never seen the point myself

And another thing - I've asked for years - why do we insist on playing in the winter, standing in the freezing rain, travelling in the dark etc etc when we could use what summer we get to actually enjoy the game more

World Cup and Euro Championships are in the summer.

We leave the summer free so us English can enjoy cricket and you Scots can scoff at us for it!!

I hate the league split in the SPL - it makes a mockery of the league when clubs start bickering over who has gfot the raw end of the deal in terms of the final 6 fixtures. Best thing that could happen to Scottish football would be to reduce the number of leagues and have each team only play each other twice however the SPL clubs outside of the Old Firm would never vote for that due to lost revenue.
