I renewed my mmebership for this season but do i keep the same card as last?(it was ticket only membership) alos do you keep last years loyalty points or do i start with 0 again?

by the way JT is 1/3 at skybet to stay at chelsea this summer( guarantee is it not?) thot it wasnt bad bet to have a go at

Yep, you keep the same number, 5pts for signing up before Jul 31, and last years points will count for the early season "marquee" games but a few games into the season become redundant.

i didnt want to open a new thread just for this question:

in end of february, we want to visit a match on the bridge (for the first time :) ) and i'm not quite sure about the loyality program.

its clear that a membership would be necessary, but as far as i know i need some loyality points.

so how are the chances for us to see the blues against citeh or arsenal as noobs?

thanks

Probably wont need loyalty points for either but you can't be sure 'till a couple of weeks before they go on sale.

Arsenal might require loyaltypoints but I don't think the Citeh game will.

You could also try the Viagogo ticket exchange (to be found on the Chelseafc.com page under tickets). I bought my Liverpool ticket from Viagogo.

is there also a membership necessary?

Yes, you need a membership to purchase tickets from Viagogo. My suggestion is to buy a True Blue Ticket only membership for £25. Register at the Viagogo page and you'll be able to purchase 1 ticket pr. member.

in fact i want to go on this match with 2 friends.

what would you do:

wait till more than 1 ticket per member are available (risky)?

or tell them to also buy a membership and their own ticket...

thanks for your help!

I would advise them to get their own memberships and their own tickets. At least for the Arsenal game. Off course you might get lucky and get the chance to buy 3 tickets on your membership, but this is very unlikely. If you all have a membership each you'll be able to buy tickets from the official sale on the Chelseafc.com website aswell as the Viagogo. You'll probably not get 3 seats next to eachother though..

To the City game, you'll probably have a better chance of securing tickets, both on Chelseafc.com and Viagogo. Three seats next to eachother avaliable for the City game on Viagogo, though it's East upper. East upper have great views but crap atmosphere..

For good atmosphere I recommend Matthew Harding lower, or the Shed end.

But be sure to join in for the singing.

@MHL_blue: In your opinion, is Viagogo better than chelseafc.com? Thanks in advance for your help.

For the big Premiership games that require a high number of loyaltypoints, then I favour Viagogo. You don't get loyaltypoints on Viagogo though, and they only sell one ticket pr. member. If there's a high profile game, like Liverpool or United at home be sure to sit by the computer the minute the tickets are on sale cause these tickets are few and they go fast. For the Liverpool game the tickets were released at 10 o'clock. 10.03 all the tickets were sold out (even the ones in west upper).. Unfortunally Viagogo only sell tickets for Premiership home games. All away, cup and CL games has to be bought on the chelseafc.com. Hope this was helpful :D

If you all buy memberships then the best thing to do is for one of you to log on to your membership and add the the other two as a 'friend' - that way you can apply for three tickets under that one account and get seats together. if you all apply seperately then you will ened up with three seats which are split up.

Good point, forgot to mention that.

for viagogo or both?

how about waiting till second week of sale (man city match, end of feb.) and buying three tickets with one membership (possible all seats together, chances of getting this)?

last question:

should i go for city, westham or villa, if i want to have the biggest chance of getting 3 tix next to each other with one membership?

ok, here is really the last one ^^ :

do i get the written loyality points per match or do i have to possess this amount of loy. points to be able to buy this tix?

For 3 seats next to eachother I'd go for Villa or City.

You get the amount of loyaltypoints written, normaly for the big games you get 1 point, often it's 2 or 3 points for awaygames. I just bought tickets for the Blackburn game, and that was 3 points. When loyaltypoints are required to buy tickets, the on sale dates and loyaltypoints required will be displayed on the website.

Good point, forgot to mention that.

Forgot to thank you (and loz) for the advice, very handy.

We're already signed up as friends, which will come in handy when the missus gets her first ever soccer game against Blackburn Rovers (and yes, we'll be row 9 at the Shed End again). :D

BTW, Do we have some clearing scheme for spare tickets? I mean, its mainly my son and I going to matches, with the missus glad to get us out of the house for a while, so I always have the opportunity to buy another ticket on her membership.

Haven't done so to date (not into buying spare tickets for selling at a profit), but clearly something that might be useful for a "deserving cause" (e.g., hard core Shed End member from abroad?)

Thoughts?

No problem mate :D For me it's always important to help good supporters get tickets.

Nice gesture to offer your mrs membership to buy tickets also. Be aware if you get tickets for someone on your mrs' membership and they cause trouble it's your mrs who get banned. But overall a really nice gesture :D

I think I'd have that covered:

1. I'd be selective and it woulld have to be someone who is a well known friend of the Shed End board;

2. They'd be next to me, so I could always "handle" the situation. ;)
