You've pretty much got the right impression. I would be surprised if we sold out our allocation at 1 ticket pr. ST/member but you never know.

I always go to the ground about 30 min before kick off, have never missed kick off. Usually have the time to get a pint before I go to my seat as well. Spend the your time in one of the pubs close to the ground for a pre-match pint and a song. Although I don't know what pub fans are gathering at now when the So Bar is closed. I've never been asked for my membership card unless I've bought tickets of Viagogo, though I always carry it with me.

I've seen this discussion on other Chelsea forums as well. Some people don't reckon you as proper Chelsea unless you were a part of the crowd on the day we got relegated to division 2. There has also been some that claim that proper Chelsea should live within Surrey, Croydon or in worst case Ealing. Blame Roman I say, because it's he who wants to make Chelsea a global brand. Without Roman we'd surely be back in division (now League) 2 now with a gigant debt and the 'Torres' shirts being sold would only be red ones.. And I very much doubt we would have more than a handful of overseas fans.. However I don't think overseas fans are less passionate. I can only speak for myself. My Chelsea adventure started in the early 90's (when 'we were sh*t'..) when my cousin brought me back a blue shirt with a lion crest and 'AMIGA' on. Norwegian Erland Johnsen also were a reason for supporting Chelsea as he was one of my favorite players at the time. Norwegian Broadcasting has since the 70's showed English football on TV every Saturday so a lot of Norwegians in my generation has grown up with the English game on TV. This was also the case for me, however games shown with Chelsea involved wasn't exactly common due to our league position at the time. My old man took me to my first game in '96 against QPR and although there was no Matthew Harding stand at the time there were a lot empty seats around the stadium. The atmosphere however was cracking. Since '96 I've not really kept count on how many trips I've had to the Bridge, but I usually get 2-3 trips pr. season nowadays. That said, I don't reckon myself as a more or less of a fan than someone who supports Chelsea but have never been to the Bridge. I don't reckon myself as more or less of a fan than those cage in by electric fences back in the 80's either. Perfect example was at the FA cup semi final at Wembley against Villa a couple of years ago when me, a overseas fan, and Steve25cfc from the Shed End forum, were the only two who tried to get some songs going in the bar area of Wembley before the game. A couple of younger fans then joined us and some more fans after that creating a decent atmosphere. Point is, there were several English Chelsea supporters who only stood and watched and didn't join in on the singing. Of course they might have thought we were daft for all I know, but me and Steve have started songs on other occasions and gotten people to join in. If we're going to have this debate on how passionate the overseas fan really is, I also think it's valid to discuss the people of West stand and East stand that don't join in on neither the singing or the atmosphere. I that aspect, me as an overseas fan is by far more passionate about Chelsea than the quiet ST holders of the West and the East. Of course I'm not, but you get the point?

I've also red RAWK forum during the past couple of seasons and they come across as the most self-rightious, pathetic and deluded hypocrites there is. It's just so f**king redicules but they somehow see themselves as the most passionate and special football fans in this world. Although the boo's at Anfield last season and this season has been far louder than their "You'll Never waank Alone". Now their golden boy Torres wants away because he's had enough of the boo's from the self-proclaimed best supporters in the world and fighting for a 12th place in the league and they turn on him. Are they really that f**king thick?? Some of the funniest comments I've ever read on a football forum was at RAWK this fall when they wanted Roy out and Rafa back. I actually prayed for Rafa's comeback at Anfield once they had sacked Hodgson, but unfortunately it was never to be.

No doubt Jose has a 'special' place in Chelsea history, but to me so has Guus and so has Carlo. I'm all for keeping Carlo because he has proven his pedegree and should be given time to build his side and give stability to Chelsea. Agree with Forbzy, Jose would most likely end up at City or Scouseville and I'm not so sure it would be the same if he returned to Chelsea. If Roman had taken him back after Grant, I think it would've made a difference, but we have now moved on and I for one would much rather have Guus back than Jose to be honest. The way I see it, Guus left us with unfinished business while Jose didn't.

Difficult choice, but for all the right reasons. My vote went to Ramires, he just gets better and better and I was delighted for that he got his goal last night. Drogba was the Drogs we all know he can be, Anelka looked very lively and Cech produced a world class save. Could've been 5-0 and 6-0 easily. Lightyears in difference to the performances of late. Also nice to see the players go over to the traveling fans after the game. Top notch lads.

His goals against the dippers comes to mind as does the goal at home against United '06, the goal at Old Toilet last season and his cross to Drogba in Munich in '05. Have always seen him as an integral part of the 04/05 and 05/06 winning team and will forever be grateful for his contributions to Chelsea FC. However he was injury prone for the last couple of seasons and thought he was a bit unrealistic demanding higher wages to sign a new contract with us. He never really came back from the injury last season, bar the goal at OT. Shame to see his decline to be honest but I'm not surprised. Deserves a proper welcome when the dippers comes to town in a couple of weeks.

Well deserved for Ash. Good to see him get some recognition. Drogba probably would've been there if not for his rant after the Barca game.. Is my theory..

Good post. If you mentioned Chelsea back in my school days no one would know what you were talking about. I'm proud of that, proud of being a Chelsea. I grew up during the Wise, Newton, Stein, Spackman, Erland Johnson days while we were a midtable team at best. A lot have changed since those days but I've always been proud of being a blue, even more proud when we're going through a bad patch like now. In the past Chelsea supporters has stood together in the times when we were sh*t. I understand that we may differ in opinions, but I don't like the personal attacks of late. Hard core or plastic, we still support the same team. A forum like our beloved Shed End is a forum for people to went their opinions and I would very much like to keep it that way even though I don't always agree with every opinion wented.

I think we put Arsenal under preasure after our goal, I have to admit I really started believing we could pull it off, but then we took the foot off the pedal and invited Le'Arse to pass the ball and waste time. We started first half with high preasure and Ashley really gave Walcott a run for his money but we were just pushed so far back and I could see the Le'Arse goal comming a mile off. I'm not the one to complain too much about Carlo, but he has to take some blame for our current results and I don't mean wrong substitutions or not having bought the right players in the summer. We lack confidence at the moment and it shows every time we get the ball and either slow down the tempo because there's no movement up front or giving the ball away in dangerous situations. If we had confidence there would be more one touch passes and the play would flow. Passes would find their right destinations and would be hit on instinct rather than in panic or lack of options. It is Carlo's responsibility and job to get our confidence back and get the players' passion back. Mind you I'm not saying I want Carlo sacked, in fact I think that's probably the worst Roman and the board could do at the moment. We become more and more a laughing stock by changing managers whenever we go through a bad spell. I don't want Chelsea to end up like Real Madrid. However this situation makes me think about a Brazilan manager that started his time with us in a simular fasion only to get sacked and be replaced by a certain Dutchman..

There's virtually no movement when we have the ball. Instead of passing the ball and then run in position we use four or five touches and fluff the chance we have to counter. The worst of all is that we look at times completely clueless and lack both motivation and passion. Our passing is f**king horrendous at best and when we do have players in the box we pass the ball away. We're no danger at corners anymore either. f**king hell Carlo, you've got a lot to sort out.

Welcome to the Shed End! I live in Norway so I thought I'd share some snow with the rest of you Shed Enders and it looks like it has been a succsess.

He started this season playing some of the best football we've seen from him. I think he has one or two good years left in him. Not the same old Drogs? Who would be after malaria..
