The Moos
In a way I think the Premier League should do as Serie A and have a break for christmas and new years eve. Play a game on the 22nd or something and then return in like 2nd of january. Give the players some time off to spend the holidays with their family and also to rest a bit. Andreas
I agree with Moos, I could see this game being canceled as well if the freezing conditions wont stop.

BlueNose
not worried about arsenal,no matter what kind of form we are in,with the united game being postponed and providing training took place then our players will be even fitter (lampard essien terry etc). got a good feeling about this one

ws6blue
we know we can beat em, but not a dead cert on our current form is it having said that, last time out against spurs we played really well second half, with essie & ramires running the show in the middle SO, I'm going with 2-1 to chels, essie getting one of the goals
Ruh Buh Juh
Given we'll have a whole two weeks off before this one, Lamps should be fully fit by then, which is a sign that we may well get an almost (without Alex) preferred 11. -----------------------------Cech ---Bosingwa-------Ivan--------Terry------Ashley -----------------------------Mikel ------------Essien---------------------Lampard ---Anelka-------------------------------------Malouda ---------------------------Drogba I hope! abramovich
I think in a way this postponement is as blessing in disguise for us. It gives several of our players an opportunity to recover and get better fitness, particularly Lampard with his long term absense and Drogba finally getting 100% healthy after malaria bout. Don't know about Zhirkov and Bosingwa but hopefully one if not two will be able to get fit by the week's end too.
icecoolguy22
We should win and must win. Lampard should be fully fit , sho should Boswinga. No excuse and we don't need any, Arsenal only has 1 plan , Drogba will slaughter them once more.

CFCCAN
Another draw I'm afraid....I think we were up for the Utd game, mentally at least and with the game being cancelled the players need to find that mental edge once more. On paper we should win this relatively easy providing we score first but that hasn't happened in a while. The first goal will be crucial if we score first we win....if not we will be chasing the game again...I fear the latter especially seeing the easy goals we have given up lately. I hope I am wrong!!! Lose and we will be in a battle for fourth and that is not where we want to be.
54veteran
Lose and we will be in a battle for fourth and that is not where we want to be. A draw wouldn't be a disaster. We've effectively handed ManU the title, but top 4 should be achievable, plus we get to have a real crack at CL.
yorkleyblue
You people are really pessimistic this season, FFS. "handed manU the title"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the f**k is that about? We are three points behind and have to play them twice. get behind your fecking team, man. jeezus, "top four should be achievable" - that's just silly! Nibs
Must admit, 54veteran is even more pessimistic than me and that's saying something! IF we were to lose, it will be far from ideal and go towards ruining my festive break (especially as my Gooner supporting father-in-law will be staying with us). But it will still be far from over as Utd look, at best, average and they will drop plenty of points over the forth-coming months - hopefully 6 of them to us. All the top teams are dropping points so unless someone puts a really strong run together (and no-one appears capable of doing that), then it could go (cliche alert).......Right to the Wire. REALLY want to beat Arsenal though so I can give F-In-law a bit of stick and not the other way round and run the risk of murder! PloKoon13
I had a nightmare last night that we lost 2-1 to Man Utd. We went 1-0 up, but they equalised, and then Darren Fletcher won a sh*tty penalty despite being offside, which was then converted. I was really pissed off in the nightmare, and was very glad when I woke up.

dkw
Been confirmed that Vermaelen is out for another month, so that should see us against Squillaci and Koscielny. Not only difficult to spell but also a bit rubbish. Lovely.

yorkleyblue
Oh, I agree, we have been lacklustre. Nit sure about lazy, but you can play that game if you want. My point is that yes we have been lacklustre, yes we have bene unfortunate with injuries and chances missed and given up, nil points gained in the last 45 matches, or whatever, and STILL we are only three points behind the leaders. I have no idea whther you are some teenage girl swooning over a boy band. That is the wondwer of the internet. But you are behaving like a sulky fecking EMO teenager, with all this "woe is me" bullsh*t! That was my point! If you don't at least TRY to understand, I won't help you with your homework again! Lazy is the whole point. Watch us and ManU, and tell me you can't see the difference in work rate and commitment. That's why they win things with mostly average players.
