José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
f**k this

Patrick Bamford - Back at Chelsea?
If he's not good enough to break into a palace team over Conor Whickam then he's not ready. If the boy is good enough he will get game time. If not then there will be a perfectly good reason for it.

Got 7th in the end, not bad for a first attempt

2015-16 Shirts?
Probably to do with the Samsung deal not running out until the end of the season. Can't imagine they would be too pleased with an ad campaign/kit release with another company if they still have sponsorship. Details will probably emerge come Sunday/whenever the contract runs out.

Lionel Messi
Before you all jump the gun, yes I know we won't actually get him. But just say we did, where does he play? He could play up top? But then we've just got diego so that wouldn't make sense. He could play on the right, we've got a bit of a position up for grabs there at the moment so that would make sense. However with Hazard on the other side Jose normally uses that side for our 'workman like' winger. He could play off of Costa, but then we have the same problem as on the right.

Finding it more and more difficult to identify sarcasm in this thread

Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend
Drafted him into my bpl fantasy team a few week backs ready for his strong second half of the season! Can see him coming on and finding his stride each game that passes. With the contract, it's great news that he's about to sign! I do get the feeling we're a Madrid offer away from losing him though.

Who do we want in January?
We also have a little guy called Dave plodding along at LB ready to fill in.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I'm sorry, whilst I agree he hasn't exactly had it hard, that bit made me giggle.

Diego Costa to Chelsea
In before Remy gets injured in the next France game, can't wait for the apocalypse that would go off in here.

Branislav Ivanovic - Your Views?
He's been a beast for us so far this season. My scouse step father seems to think he is our weak link and that he's extremely prone to leaving his man and causing confusion in our defence. For me, it has only ever really been his crossing that has annoyed me. That being said he seems a lot better going forward recently and its always nice to practically have 3 centre halves going up for/defending a corner.

Welcome Loic Remy
I like how in his interview he states he knows that there are already two great strikers at the club and that he will have to step up in order to be in contention. Finally, someone who accepts they won't be automatically first choice but is willing to fight for a place.

Wayne Rooney officially the new England captain
Whoops, my bad! It really is a sorry state of affairs for English football at the moment though.

Hattrick against QPR has to be up there as well!

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Well this actually looks like happening now. Safe to say he hasn't been the player we all thought we were getting but he's got a few decent memories which he leaves behind. Really hope he finds his form in Milan, an in form Torres was always fun to watch (Even if he did play for that sh*t team in red).

Mattia Destro
Think pretty much every club in the world would say that mate. Not much point though if we've already got our main striker on high wages. Destro would offer us decent enough cover for if Costa gets a knock and I can't image he's going to be demanding high wages. I would love Falcao, but Destro makes a lot more sense.

Wayne Rooney officially the new England captain
I would like to point out that Hodgson has just referred to Colback as 'The ginger Pirlo'. I also would like to announce my retirement from international football.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Just looking at the point of view that why does him wanting to stay here mean he's given up? Surely you could see packing your bags and shipping out of the country as giving up as well? The lads lost it, he knows that. But what's to say he doesn't want to fight for his place here, surely that's the only way he could truly regain his status. If he goes abroad people will just say its the quality of the league that is making him look good. Don't get me wrong, I think he's finished but I don't see why staying here means he's given up.

Right I need to have a mini rant about the Costa 'dive', so feel free to skip ahead... I cannot believe the amount of opposition fans who are agreeing with the referee on this decision. At first I found it amusing, but now its just straight up getting on my tits. Their main case of argument seems to be that Costa left his leg trailing in order to make contact with the keeper, thus meaning he was looking for the penalty / it was a dive. Whilst I agree Costa left his leg trailing in order to make contact, I don't see how this constitutes a dive? The defining moment in this situation is the keeper rushing out. When Costa goes to the ball the keeper has two choices; One is to come out and make himself big, but avoid diving in. Or two, rush out and dive at Costa's feet aiming to get the ball. As soon as the keeper takes option two then he simply has to succeed or its a penalty. I don't care if Costa went down dramatically, I don't care if he forced the contact. If the keeper doesn't get the ball and makes any contact with the player then its a penalty and the keeper knows that. I don't see the difference between Costa leaving his leg trailing in order to make contact with the keeper and a midfielder anticipating a tackle on the half way line and putting himself between the ball and the man. It's the same process, just one gets a penalty and the other a free kick. Costa has done nothing wrong, he's just taking advantage of a situation. If the keeper comes out and gets the ball then its a good tackle, but he doesn't so its a bad tackle. A bad tackle = foul. And if anyone needed any confirmation of this, just look at the crowds reaction in the gif I will post under this. No one screams dive, no one tells him to get up, they all just look on in despair. They had the best view in the house. (Don't know how to make the GIF appear on the post so I'll just link it) http://gfycat.com/JealousTemptingAbyssiniancat

Cech or Courtois?
Lets face it, I think Jose knows that he can't keep both happy. But if he comes out and tells the world that then Cech's price suddenly plummets, because people know we need to sell. Cech will be gone soon. (Wow that's really sad to type)

Filipe Luis to Chelsea... and Back Again.
Think Jose had one eye on their right side tonight, they're right back had a lot of assists last year. Can see Luis starting saturday, needs to be given some time.

How is scoring for us a 'f**k you' to us? He can f**k us whenever he likes if it means scoring to do so.

Is Ramsey the new Lampard?
No denying that the lad is a great player and the comparisons to Lampard are justified imo, he just needs to do it consistently.

Cech or Courtois?
He's picked Schwarzer apparently.
