  1. John Terry, no doubt. Proved why he's so vital for us. Nearly opted for Paulo, he kept Bale quiet and had a very good performance. Without naming any names there was some comments about Paulo VS Bale on here last week which was brought to shame last night. Ramires improve every game and although he's very light I thought he had a very good performance. Drogba looked hungry again and was a major impact when brought on. Lamps was quiet but it was such a relief to see him back again. BRING ON UNITED!!
  2. Spot on. Misplaced passes and no movement up front has been a major concern the last 6 games. I thought first half yesterday started like all the other games we've played this past month. Very disapointed Drogs didn't score on the penalty but I thought second half yesterday was a step in the right direction. The whole team showed passion and grit and it seemed like we gained some much needed confidence. Drogba looked hungry again and I feel we're going to turn this around now. Bring on Manure!!
  3. Welcome to the Shed End Fast Eddie. Enjoy the forum mate
  4. Bizarre to think these are the same players that won 6-0 and played football for fun two months ago. The body language of the players tells a story of pressure and fear for failure, the confidence is gone. Misplaced passes, defensive errors, hitting the woodwork and missing sitters. Everything happening now is symptomathic for a team enduring loss of confidence. How do we turn this? Well, for starters us fans need to get behind the team. Against Everton our fans was terrible quiet throughout the whole f**king game bar after the final whistle when someone showed their support by booing. f**king hell, how are we ever going to turn this around when our contribution is to slagg off our own players. Looking at some of the comments on this thread and some of our fans are moaning about how Paulo will be humiliated by Bale this forthcomming Sunday. Get a grip ffs. Support Paulo instead of slagging him off. Paulo has been nothing but a loyal servant to Chelsea, show him some f**king respect. Kalou, well he can't finish, but he plays for our team, get behind him. The Chelsea board (Roman) needs to give Carlo time to work. Adding all this pressure does not make his job any easier. It's f**king redicules if he's sacked now after a run of bad games and the premiership isn't half way through yet. I hate when Chelsea lose, I f**king hate it more than anything in this world, but to expect us to win the tittle every year is somewhat unrealistic. I appreciate everything you have done for our club Roman, but show Carlo some support now and we will get through this and turn it around. Rant over.
  5. Had no faith in Carlo when he arrived. Was more sad because of the loss of Guus than happy about the arrival of Carlo. But Carlo has really proved himself and this prize is well deserved. Take a bow Carlo.
  6. Without his ownership we would be bankrupt..
  7. I wouldn't count on it, although you may get lucky.
  8. I see you point on VDV, I think even Arsene would agree on that.. I agree that we're not Barcelona or Ajax either, and it's no secret we've not been able to get the best out of our yount in the past. I don't think we'll be reaping the benefits this season, although McEchran is probably one of the most exciting talents I've seen for quite a while. However I think we need to have a long term vision about developing our own players. We also need a good ballance between youth and good transfer opportunities as you say, but I'm glad to see the back of crazy spending days and flogging £300 million on the table for a big name.
  9. You're not alone dkw. Though a season without trophies will cause all the plastics to come out and call for Carlo's head, I would much rather have a couple of seasons without trophies and a healthy economy than spending silly money like Real Madrid. I know the recent years sucsess has made us Chelsea supporters somewhat spoilt and that spur very unrealistic expectations amongst some. Don't get me wrong, I suffer just as much as everyone else when we loose or see the mancs lift a trophy, but I'm very happy with our policy at the moment bringing youth through the ranks.
  10. At least you know what you get at Premier Inn.
  11. Good on you Andy. Hope you enjoy your trip mate. 7 seats next to each other is not easy to come by if you don't have memberships. I know they sell hospitality tickets at chelseafc.com, but they're not cheap. You can also buy packages which include tickets and stay at the Millenium hotel but I think they only sell seats in the West upper. Can't really help you with any advice here other that to use Thomas Cook or Steve Perryman. Never use ticketmaster or such sites though. I've stay at various hotels around London depending on the price I've got. I've usually stayed at Ramada Encore London West out in Ealing (North Acton tube stop on the central line) but they're not as cheap as they used to be anymore. It's a bit outside of the city centre and there's really not much to do in the area, but it has worked for me. There are a lot of hotels around the Euston and Queensway area and around Hyde Park, really depends on what pricerange you're within. Remember to look up the hotels you're looking into on Tripadvisor.com, it'll give you an fair impression of the hotel. Anyway best of luck mate
  12. I see it as natural that there's speculactions about Carlo after 3 defeats in the last 4 games, that's the way the biased media works. I don't pay much attention to that, however I'm concerned about the comment from Carlo regarding Fergie and that he actually has impact on what goes on behind the scene at United. The way I see it Carlo has a very valid point and it really raises the question about how our club is run. I would hate if we lost Carlo because he feels powerless and over run.
  13. Got the feeling that Carlo didn't give a f**k about what Emenalo had to say. I've gotten so used to Carlo's depressed look, because he lokes the same even if we're 4-0 up but at least he used to talk to Butch..
  14. I'm happy with our squad at the moment, mind you it's the same squad that scored 6 against West Brom and Wigan and beat Arsenal 2-0.. We have a dip in form and confidence at the moment, it's not like we're in the drop zone fighting to avoid relegation.. I for one is very satisfied with Chelsea rather take the chance on McEchran and our current youngsters than to spend billions on marquee signings with a 200k a week wage demand..
  15. f**king hell. Foster was the difference today and the one time he missed the post came to his resque. Gutted, just gutted, not pointing any fingers but we lack grit in our midfield and compusure in front of the goal. We really missed Essien and Lamps today. Ramires probably need this season to adjust to the premiership so we have to give him some time, but his problem is that he's as light as a ballerina and looks like Bambi on ice at times. Haven't had any pints yet, therefore a reflected and calm rant. Though I wonder how long it takes for someone to post something about sacking Carlo or needing to spend billions in January to retain the tittle..
  16. Welcome to the Shed End mate. I hope we play Bruma this weekend as Paulo has been a very loyal servant to us, but he cannot play on CD.
  17. I f**king hate when we boo our own players, it's embarrasing, a disgrace and we come off as glory hunting muppets who have forgotten where we came from. Yes, I know people pay their hard earn cash to see their team and have the right to say what they want. Ok, but on one can in their right mind say that booing will help the team performance. I know (and hope) this just goes for a minority of our fans though.
  18. What a f**king tragic bunch of sad clowns those Spuds are. I mean I hate Tottenham, but would never condone violence from a Chelsea supporter done to the father of a Spurs player. Tells you the truth about the Spuds fans doesn't it.
  19. Also thought I heard they do monkey noices aimed at Drogba. You should definitely report it as we don't want this kind of disgusting behaviour at the Bridge. And welcome to our forum by the way.
  20. Welcome to the Shed End Martin. Get yourself a membership and you'll be able to buy tickets from chelseafc.com or Viagogo.
  21. Welcome to the Shed End mate. You're amongst your own now.
  22. You have to be a member to buy away tickets. Away matches outside London are usually easy to get a hold of bar United and Liverpool away. Blackburn away is this Saturday and still not sold out..
