Hi everyone,

I am coming to london with 2 mates in december and I was wondering what are the chances of getting 3 tickets for the chelsea - man u game that go on general sale. Will there be any tickets that go on general sale or is it a no hoper.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

No hoper, I'd say. Doubt it will get anywhere near general sale.

Hey ethicalstrategy,

Thanks for the reply.

Ok so no hope for general sale. With it being a big match so close to christmas, is there any chance members or ST holders would be selling and if they were, would they be whacking much of a profit onto it and where would you be able to find members and STH selling these besides EBay and such.

Sorry for all the questions, appreciate the help.

Thanks bluegraham,

so even if i become a trueblue member, there is still no guarantee i can get a ticket? or do i just have to be online when they go on release to members and be one of the first to try and buy them?

Such is the magnitude of the game that even for members they will only go on sale via a points system, in other words the more points you have ammassed the more likely you'll be in with a chance. Sadly in your case this will mean little to no chance.

Two most likely opportunities for you are:

1 - Corporate ticket - this will cost as it includes match day hospitality plus you will need to know someone well enough at any company hosting for this match

2 - My pet hate, the parasites that are ticket touts. They will be there in abundance between Fulham Broadway and the ground. However, beware, even if you got one from these parasites there's no guarantee its not a fake.

No. I guess the amount of loyality points required would be around 30. Viagogo could be an option but you have to count yourself lucky if you get a single ticket let alone 3. This is one of the most wanted game, remember. I wouldn´t recommend you to mess with these tickets. Especially if this is your only match this year so you are not able to get enough loyality points as well. You should try the club hospitality packages. You are paying aorund £200 each but you´ll get a whole day covered. Certainly better than paying £200 to a fking tout. And safer as well. TrueBlue membership is just a waste of money in this case and if you are not planning to visit London later this season again, I wouldn´t but it:)

Good luck!

Thanks guys for all your replies.

Don't worry, I hate touts and will not touch their tickets with a bargepole.

Ok so hospitality is an option, do I sign up to be a trueblue to get these ticket or what is the system to get them.

I appreciate all your help.

You can then just as easily donate the money to Ashley COle for example, eh?:D I mean why do you need a true blue tickect memebership when you know that you are only coming over for the Manu game and the likelyhood of getting the normal ticket via club is very close to zero?

You don't have to be a member to buy hospitality tickets. See chelseafc.com - tickets - hospitality for more information.

Probably the only way to get tickets to this game if you want 3 tickets as there will be a knuckle fight on Viagogo to get the few tickets on sale and normal tickets to members will go on loyalty points.

I had a look at the hospitality, tickets are over 600 pounds!! I'd say my only chance is having a go off viagogo and hope for the best. Other than that, I'd say I will be watching in a pub in London.....closest I will get. :)

Thanks for all the help.

Best to get occasional or one off tickets for smaller games

One other option is to join an overseas supporters club where you live - they often have for big games but no idea how it works

You just may get very lucky and find a member selling on match day outside the ground. I managed this once. Fella always came to the game with his son, but his son was off watching some Rugby match instead!! So he was standing outside the Fulham Broadway, and said "Anyone need a ticket face Value?" I took it, and sent the wife to the movies. Something I still haven't lived down!

however, the chances of that are slim, and the chances of that for you and two mates...even slimmer!

I'd try Viagogo, or at a last resort touts but 10 minutes after the game has started

what about awaydays tickets?

Depends on the game. Away against ManU, Arsenal will be sold on loyality points basis. Others should be available for any membership owner but there are many games when there is a "first come first served" principle and the tickets will go within 10-20 minutes.

It is not hard to get tickets for stamford bridge if you are happy to watch us demolish smaller teams - you always need to be a member to get away tickets.and it is only easy to get them for games against small clubs outside of London - any match in or near London will sell out almost as soon as tickets go on sale -

as in are they easy to get ect.

You have to be a member to buy away tickets.

Away matches outside London are usually easy to get a hold of bar United and Liverpool away.

Blackburn away is this Saturday and still not sold out..
