I read that our current goal haul (55) after 22 games is the 2nd best return EVER in the EPL?

Does anyone know if they were refering to it being Chelseas second best goal haul ever, or if it was applicable to all EPL teams ever?

Funny it was a footnote in a column, amazing how we get no credit for such things, but the media went orgasmic with Torres being the 4th fastest player in EPL history to reach 50 goals.

I think it might be equal. I know that Arsenal took the record for it, because SSN ran a small piece on the amount of goals scored in the PL this season, and it had this kind of info on it. I know that we were close to second with 21 games and could come close or beat it with a decent result. We were in the top five already with the goals scored before Birmingham.

To be honest I am not really bothered about this particular football stat. I am pleased though that Chelsea are not only playing well at the back, but at the front too. Hopefully it will continue with Burnley away this evening.
